Run UK. You're sounding more like my home state of Utah, USA. In this golden land, mothers don't have to even live in Utah to give away their children without telling the fathers. They have pretense of it (via a "you have 1 week to sign all these papers and do all these things" that tend to "get lost" on the way to fathers.) I think it's terrible. If a mother has the right to keep the baby and demand support, a father damn well deserves the same rights. It's stealing and selling babies.

Women do everything possible a lot of times to keep the father away and some times the families of the mother get in on it to keeping the father away. But they want that child support check though!

This is an absolute disgrace! This woman should not be allowed not to legally inform the father! A father should have a right to know! Why should she have to tell the father? She may not even know who the father is. If the potential father has any interest in a child he should keep in touch with her, she shouldn't be responsible for searching the globe for some man who fucked her and disappeared.

Well, if you're having one night stands with random women, you should be using condoms each time. The guy must not have cared that much or he would have taken steps to prevent pregnancy and to keep her from using him as a sperm donor.

That judge is messed up. There should be a lot more concern for that now-orphaned child! He could have had a family; but, due to the laziness and sluttyness of his mother, he'll never know his family. In addition, his father will never get to know to know his child for the same reasons. It's really sad.

wait wait wait, you can only uphold something if it existed in the first place. Since when was is it a right for either parent to withhold information about a child, if you have had a baby it is your moral and legal obligatiob to tell the person that you had sex with and made the baby

If you have a child out of marriage, MAN has absolutely NO rights what so ever.

You will have to open a case in court, Court order DNA test, than establish ur self as a Parent. After that You will only have Visitations rights. 4 days out of a Month, and pay up to 25% of you income in child support.

The courts rule in women's favor every time. They get to have their cake and eat it too. Courts should rule that every birth needs to be acknowledged by the father. If the woman is caught lieing when she says that she can not find the father, she would be found guilty of a FELONY.

@Shanediver And that's a shame, there are too many court systems that are a little too lenient on the women and too hard on the men.
