It means the stack of two boxes near the top of the mountain (although two other pieces, one for each major "mountain", also have the same first hint of "Double containers.")

I forgot this game had a 'perfect' ring count in each level. I also forgot they were total jerks about hiding them all. I'm gonna have to look at more videos like this and maybe even get out my SA2 again. Very impressive video.

There's no difference in ring positions across versions in any mission of Pumpkin Hill.

There are 12 rings up there, and I got 12 rings. I didn't go all the way back to the furthest one, but that's what the lightning shield is for.

Yes...of course if you keep digging you'll come across one eventually, but you won't find a lightning shield anywhere in the stage without digging. I had budgeted 5 digs for this 3:00 time limit; after that I'd just restart if it didn't come up.

How obscure, although I love it when game designers do something like this whether it's purposely done or by accident. It provides a good challenge and community talking point. Just like the 'impossible coin' in SM64.

Great job SM. I've tried to do mission 4 but with no sucess, I don't have the emerald locations in mind, not even with the tips. I have another way to go to where the rings are placed, I take the rocket that leads to the ghost train mountain in the beginning of the stage and aim to a sad eyed pumpkin that is close to the mountain. The mission 4 will be a very hard task to me :). 5/5 awesome job

If it were only 1 ring, my theory would be that it was a leftover ring from one end of the Capsule Planet in Mad Space, but the fact that it's 2 rings at once throws all sensible explanations out the window. Whatever it is, It Is A Mystery.

No, your post said that it was your friend who got 153. In any case, Pumpkin Hill doesn't lend itself easily to 153: both of the new rings are in the same place, and if you can find them then you can find the other 152. PH 151s make no sense, especially when you have a lightning shield.

You can dig up as many rings as you want, maybe he misunderstood and included the ones he dug up in his total.
