LOOKS like he reaches out to palm the guy's shoulder for some extra height, pretty ordinary stuff when 2 players compete for a mid-air header.

But then it looks like instead of resting his palm on the shoulder he grabs the nearest "object" (the ponytail), takes the jump & goes for it (his body stiffening up ready for the header just holds on, like those reflexes when you prepare yourself and tense up). In my eyes; no malicious intent, but it's unfortunate it happened.

I agree that there was no malicious intent, and that the referee could not possibly see anything wrong with it, but I think that England won because of it.

If FIFA has knowledge of this- and it's almost certain that they do- there should be some kind of punishment for it. There has been so much talk about receiving a 5000 swiss franc fine each time a player is called for shirt pulling. What's the fine for tugging on someone's dreadlocks?
