  • fuck this

  • @100years262democides Then I'm sorry, but, you're comment is a myth. bye bye.

  • George blurs the lines between comedy and philosophy. RIP.

  • Just enough to f__k things up....on point there...

  • I'm guilty of gun culture :(

  • @TheMango121 I look at it this way: just because I abhor violence doesn't mean I won't defend myself.

  • George Carlin is a genius. Hands down.

  • George Carlin your bias is showing.

  • @kuehnau Since when was pointing out the truth "biased"?

  • the funny, thing is, my dad was the complete opposite lol, but for most people unfortunately this is pretty fucking accurate :/

  • The poor stupid fuck lol..........

  • I have known people who actually believe that women have one more rib than men do, since God supposedly took a rib from Adam to make Eve. I tell them that if a man has a leg amputated and then later has a kid, the kid will have two legs -- it's not genetic. But they insist that IT'S IN MEDICAL BOOKS! that men have one fewer rib. So you can see why they'd think women are just an extra thing made for the convenience of males.

  • @rollerlollerman Interestingly enough in ancient Greek culture, often considered the cradle of Western civilization, homosexuality was commonly practiced and often even considered the purest form of love. It wasn't really until Rome began to base their moral code on a book written by bronze age desert nomads.. Although the ancient Greeks also practiced ephebophilia and slavery, and clearly were not paragons of moral righteousness, but people seldom are

  • Gandhi once said, “It’s not Christianity that scares me. It’s the Christians.”

Gandhi’s response to being asked what he thought of Western Civilization was, “I think it would be a good idea.”

Imperial Japanese Era men were not found acceptable as leaders, until they'd mass murdered. Before that a real man was somebody that cut heads off of dozens of noncombatants, surrendered or wounded prisoners.

This practice did not work out over time, and now a "real" man in Japan is not voilent.

  • High 10 anyone ?

  • Though I'm aware of the most of the facts shown up here and the way I'm very little fitting to this description, I've still found new things to think about. Depressive part is, that someone like me, who constantly improves himself for years miss many things... what about average people we're surrounded by?

  • cure hipster faggotry: MANHOOD101. COM

  • The Male Disease? Coming from George Carlin that can only be autobiographical

  • @rollerlollerman yea and all those things done to men were by men

  • @rollerlollerman Khemet, in the real world. We don't see about it in the history books because we are told only what our "real owners" want us to know. And they don't have any interest in whatever doesn't have to do with patriarchy. That's why they love Greece and Rome so much, white patriarchy. If you want to learn about Khemet, there are videos of historians talking about it on youtube.

  • all women are cunts or insane or both. this is true. i'm dating a crazy one but I like her anyway.

I think that in general men are the same really.they just have different standards they are expected to live up to.

  • I'm a straight male, and I fall into absolutely none of the categories he names. I must be doing something right. :]

  • Misandry sure is funny

  • This is pretty funny.

  • 27 people want to go get their balls shot off.

  • perfectly accurate.

  • Fuck you for dying George! I miss you so much!

  • which book is this from?

  • @MisteRxBlondE Pork Chops

  • He's being a little too nice to females here! Men can be terrible but I've seen women just as bad, even worse.

  • @kupotenshi Worse, defintly worse.

  • @kupotenshi

He isnt being nice to women. I hate when people always say 'Oh but women are bla and bla too' we know that ok. Its like saying 'Oh black people can be racist too' or 'Rich people have it just as hard'. Look at history and think abit about the experiences of a woman, black person and the poor as opposed to the other half who have come to this day and age in privilage. No way is that being 'nice', its being honest and acknowledging the past. Women have never had power in masses.

  • @asopaso07 I get what you're saying, being a woman and a minority myself, and I realize how easy the other half has had it in the past. I still stand by what I said though, in the context of privileged women living in western countries today. Plus, George dished out some sweeping generalizations about men here and from what I've heard from his shows, he's never as harsh on women as he is on men.

  • @kupotenshi Too be quite honest, George has never been as harsh on women as he has on men because men are the primary ones who tend to screw things up. Just look back on history and you will see that men have caused a lot more destruction then women. Not trying too say it's a good thing, cause it's not. Women should be proud of that.

  • @kupotenshi

He is is not merely generalising. Is it generalising to say that sports is dominated by men? Football especially. Or that the military is dominated by men? Or the high positions in society are dominated by men? No this is not generalising, this is a sad truth. It is therefore fair to say that men, in masses, have created wars, economic inequality and many other crap in this world. There is a big difference between domination and generalisation.

  • @asopaso07 You know, I agree with everything you're saying. All the bad things in this world can be blamed on men, because they're the ones in power. But I feel that if women were dominant, things wouldn't be radically different or better. Especially economic inequality. So I guess I'm saying I don't agree when Carlin says that the world sucks because of a man's inherent nature, which consist more of learned behavior b/c of society (which Carlin does acknowledge) and not biological traits.

  • @kupotenshi

I beg to differ. I grew up around alot of male and females, and I can comfortably say that boys, from a young age, are much more aggressive and competitive than girls. Girls like to connect with eachother and socialise, while boys like to play fight and compete. This is further intensified as they mature and produce more testosterone. As for economic inequality, the key characteristic of capitalism is competition. I think its a very good reflection of the male.

  • @asopaso07 It was once patriarchy slipped in that the oppression of women started. First men were hiding their history of matriarchy. Then they oppressed women, with violence of course, because that's all they knew. And then other races. You can see this in religions and mythologies around the world. Central mother figures being oppressed by male figures.

  • @kupotenshi If you look way back in our history, further back than the greeks, and in africa and todays america, we were matriarchal. Our real golden age was when we were matriarchal. The longest lasting civilizations were also matriarchal. Our most advanced (technologically and spiritually) civilizations were also matriarchal. Women had led the way, and they didn't dominate men either. Men recognized and respected what women can do.

  • @asopaso07 Nobody's ever had power "in masses". Power has always been concentrated in the hands of one or a select few people. And even though most people who have traditionally held power in written history have been men, the opposite is not automatically true - in fact, it's not true at all. If 20 out of 20 people with political power are men, then what about the 200,000 or more men with zero political power? It's a myth that men in total or even in general are part of some privileged class.

  • @theyoungmrt

And have young male babies also been buried alive? Men been accused of 'Witch craft' and killed in masses, and had no right to education, owning property, voting, or having a say over their own reproductive system. And even today, women are told what to do with their vagina's, Do men get called whore, sluts, slags, skets, bitches, slappers, tramps, loose, etc? They say the amount of words you create for something reflects your culture. Did you know eskimos have 50 words for snow?

  • @asopaso07 BAM!!!

  • i like george but this is one of his dumbest observations.

  • @joemoe23 Whats your reasoning?

  • Comment removed

  • Come to think of it, I don't really see guys showing a lot of emotion aside from lol, concentration, and bro fives. In fact, I've only seen my father cry twice: once, when he was hammering in something and slammed it on his thumb (he shed a single tear), and the other time at his university reunion and it was allergy season (his poor eyes were swollen and red, his nose was constantly dripping, he was sneezing ten times a second, etc).

Men: What emotion did you show when your kid was born?

  • Hmm... I see we have Bill Burr in related videos simply to show how intelligent, perceptive, and clever Mr. Carlin really was. Shit makes the diamond glitter greater.

  • George carlin you are a legend that lived! i am a man and i agree to every single word.

rest in peace old fuck, we'll never find someone as "straight" as you are and i don't mean it sexually.

  • So all of you effeminate men with a chip on your shoulder watch videos like these and feel better about yourselves afterwards, uh?? Only kidding...

  • Dnload the audio from this vid at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • Flag this video if you think you have an idea of what's right, otherwise sit back crack a beer and to hell with it. If Carlin was still alive I would shake his hand.

  • Didn't the same George Carlin complain about the "pussification of the American male"?

  • ROFL !!! Nothing like George Carlin to tell it like it is !!! Gawd I miss him. LIFE killed him !!!

  • yeah I agree in this, I see this happening too. No one really stands up like this guy to say that it's stupid.

  • *claps*

  • Men are only like this because it's what's expected out of them. Men who are not into sports, or music-ly or artistic-ly gifted, are classified as 'gay' by the jocks, and for some odd-unknown-reason, take great pride in bad-mouthing 'da queers'. Women know just as well as men, even though they constantly deny it, that they like to date the assholes, and shitbags.

  • the women are to blame..they WANT only alpha males

  • @Strafvollzieher Ya but because of the fact that society has conditioned them to act and think that way.

  • @kMC303 It's all a big vicious circle.

  • @fearthetroll Ya one which I personally have chosen not to be a part of. That's why I keep to myself and away from media, trends, what's "in", and all that other crap. I do what I want, wear what I want, and don't give 2 shits what the outside world thinks.

  • @Strafvollzieher not true. my girlfriend wants to be the alpha and is fine with me being feminine.

  • @orgasmicide2 ding ding ding. We are still animals unfortunatly. Women want to be in a herd- at least the hot ones do. Sometimes you can find a so-so looking chic that does not mind a loner (my wife being one) but every time I fucked a hot chic it was because I was hanging out with the dumbest fucking peices of shit guys I ever was around. True New Jersey Shore peices of shit.

  • Genius. I never gave much of a shit about men. Never had any real urge to hang out with other men. The only time I ever did it was to get close to women. Women like their man to be in a group of men. If you want to fuck women, I am sad to report, you usually need to hang out with other men. Its terrible and sad because most men are absolute dumb fucking pieces of shit.

  • He was an alpha male.

  • If you ask me, men need to collectively pull our heads out of our asses and either let women in on our whole boys' club thing or give it up entirely.

  • I've seen men's rights advocates criticizing women for being "parasitic leeches" when they rely on their husband for support. I've also seen them criticize women for being "too butch" if they dare to actually get a job. Two contradictory positions, often delivered without a hint of sarcasm at all. So, what do men expect women to do? Be totally inactive blobs of... nothing?

  • The woman is a failed human, anything that bleeds every 6 months is a failed creation and an a biological accident.

  • @TomRude213 Every six months? Did your mother drop you on your head as a child?

Menstruation is important. During a woman's fertility cycle, the endometrial lining of the uterus toughens up to prepare for the potential embedding of an embryo. If pregnancy does not occur, the lining sheds and then regenerates in order to remain in the best possible condition for implantation.

Creationism is just an excuse for men to say they were "made first", when science shows it to be the other way around.

  • @TomRude213 So you're a homosexual then?

  • I think, most importantly, people (most importantly MEN) should use Carlin's own advice to question everything and not accept the whole generalisation throw around in this video. Think about why men do what they do, think about how many millions or billions of dollars are used to lure the young into the army, see other groups of animals and notice what kind of male is chosen by the female, and then go back to humans and note how similar it will be.

  • George Carlin's view is very limited here, men do what they do to be accepted by women, it was always like this, the strongest, the one with better status is the one with more choices. I was raised by a single mother, and all these things apply, because not only my mother told me boys don't cry, but the whole society expects a lot more from men.

  • I like sports..... but I don't like any of that other crap.

  • Life on this planet would be pretty shitty without some men being assholes. I cannot even imagine how overpopulated the planet would be if there had never been any wars in the past. Everything serves a purpose.

  • @Faceball

Fail logic. If instead of focusing on screwing each other over we focused on fixing some of the world's problems we would be more than capable of supporting the population in a more comfortable way. It's quite possible you're one of the asshole men he was talking about.

  • @HamEggNCheeseBiscuit

There is a hard cap to how much the planet will be able to sustain. I do not know when we will reach it, and neither do you. Nobody does at this point. The only thing for certain is that the planet would have hundreds of millions more people living on it without previous wars. Over 50 million died in World War II alone, and that's just one of the many wars the planet has seen. Ad hominem is a pretty poor way to end off your post if you have nothing else to say, by the by.

  • @Faceball

Let me ask you a question, is the amount of people we can support in an area greater than or less than it was 2000 years ago? It's obviously greater than. Due to improvements to production, medicine and living conditions we have increased the amount of people we can fit in one area humanely. Yes, there is a cap on how many humans we can fit on the planet but most of our space is used inefficiently at the moment, we have a ways to go.

  • @Faceball We have already reached that cap. People talk about the planet being able to sustain "tens of billions of people" in theory, but that's just bunk. Look up peak oil, aquifer depletion and metal ore/rare earth depletion and you'll begin to understand.

  • thanks for being alive for 71 years George. R.I.P

  • Actually the guys who like to beat up homosexuals are afraid of their own sexuality. They are not really sure whether they are queer or not themselves and are trying to cover.

  • @mtavares92 Well I agree with Carlin when he says that we are "CTD", circling the drain. Also as Carlin said as well "I can't wait for the water to rise, and the tornadoes" lol. I also believe people are wrong in joining the military because the government is just using them. The government doesn't care about them and whenever any of them die it's the family that suffers. The government profits from their death which is why I don't believe in people in the army or war.

  • @kMC303 Didn't the government freeze military pay? While Republicans push for more increased military spending? I guess giving money to defense contractors is more important than supporting the men and women who risk their lives for us.

  • men have to shut up and women have to wake up. both suck today, I'm not going to favor either. feminism shouldn't be about equality, we are already equal. Men do horrible shit, but at least they do something. Women don't do shit, but at least they don't do horrible shit. Feminism should be about women showing men how to do things right, because it's much easier to start from the beginning rather than starting over.

  • @Zaknafiein I agree with you, im a girl btw (just using my bro's youtube on his computer), and from what I have observed from recent times is that human beings in general just suck.

  • @kMC303 Fuck you.

    Intellectual piece of shit.

  • @mtavares92 I am also a huge fan. I think part of him is exaggerating things. I could tell when watching him, that he was a caring person. I think it's part of the act, as his dark, but matter of fact style makes it all the more hilarious.

  • @KatieTaylor24

I think he did meant all that, because we as a species don't deserve to live, due to all the evil and hatred we spread.

But all the while, as one of us, as a family man, a citizen, an American, he couldn't possible feel that way.

It's funny because it's the same thing with me. I do laugh crazy whenever I hear about some moron who jumped into the train sidetracks, but I obviously wouldn't have that reaction if I was there and actually saw the whole thing...

  • @mtavares92 That's cool. You never wanna be just like anybody else, you want to be yourself. What Carlin proves, in my view, very effectively, is that you can make fun of ANYTHING. Anything.

  • @heyjunky

    He said it himself:

"I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberatly."

  • people who join the army [ people who volenteer ] are still total idiots

  • @mtavares92 Comedy has no boundaries. Just because you don't find humor in death, does not mean others can't.

  • @Saber0003 Finding death humorous is what keeps us sane.

  • @mtavares92 Yes. Me do join the army as an ego contest. Believe it or not but this is the way the world is whether we'd like to open our eyes to see it or not.

  • @mtavares92 - American Men join the military to 'blow sh*t up! F'ing A!!!" They are some twisted bastards. They want to kill somebody.

  • @filmtress

    That sir is false.

I agree somewhat that most men who want to join the military are doing so because of the naturally agressive macho alpha male conduct.

But that doesn't mean they "want" to KILL.

Just a few facts for ya. During world war 2, just 20 % of soldiers fired their weapons towards enemy fire.

Nowadays, that rate is near 100%. Why does this happen? Conditioning weapons training.

But there's something that all soldiers who killed suffer from. Severe trauma.

  • @mtavares92 - Good. They broke universal law. You are NOT supposed to interfer with someones earthly destiny. THey came here for a purpose and some 'trigger happy' jerks takes their life? IT'S WRONG! Too many Americans and Europeans think they have to control every other nation. They have agreements, secret covanents and laws to wrestle power from women, indigenous peoples and children. They invade them and convert them to 'Christianity' as if they are god. What a friggin' joke.

  • Con't #2 - Nobody is going to miss them when they're gone. In fact, many people are waiting for their fall. The Aryan Epoch is over. Kiss it goodbye. It was never meant to last anyway. American culture is stupid, many malanated peoples know this already and we look forward to the day when it will be no more. Disasters are everywhere, economies are crumbling, we're getting ready for a major transition. I look forward to it. I'm tired of the sick twisted drunk pothead in charge.

  • @filmtress they are broke and exploited dummies, not all are renegades thirsty for blood

  • @mtavares92 lol At you saying I'm just a "fat dork" I'm 6'2 and weigh 170 lb. I'm sorry but I'm nowhere near fat. Insults wont work here. Lets try and be mature ok? Thanks.

  • @mtavares92 thats THREE things.

  • @mtavares92 For intellect life is comedy, for stupid it is tragedy

  • some agression comes from fear, homophobia is agression towards gays based on a fear of being gay or being aroused by men, simple as

  • I showed this vid to my sociology class. They all applauded.

  • @ccipollini1984 Thumbs up too you sir! Get Carlin's wisdom out there. Also to everyone posting bad remarks about Carlin, your comments will be removed. He is and was an amazing guy. <3

  • @kMC303 and why they should be remoced ,cuz u don't like it? .. everyone has the right for opinion

  • @kMC303 I like a lot of Carlin's points. They really make me think. But I inevitably get a bit depressed after listening to him. I always feel like whatever I do is meaningless bullshit. Do you think he was nihilistic about our individual existence?

I feel like if it's all pointless, why keep on doing stuff like learning, writing, teaching, etc.? Stuff I like and want to do. And I would like to think that I could help people someday....but I wonder about the pt. of that, too.

    What do u think?

  • @TheFanwindow Carlin once said that if he were as jaded and misanthropic in real life as his stage persona was, he would have probably shot himself. Of course, that's not an invitation to put on a happy face and ignore all the world's problems. Maybe we should start working towards fixing these issues so that the next generation of great comedians don't have anything to joke about?

  • @ccipollini1984

So your sociology class is sexist.

  • @DerReisendeGaijin

thanks for proving his point completley.

  • @ccipollini1984

    Nice spelling.

I didn't prove anything. Lay off the sociology, and your analysis may improve ;)

  • @ccipollini1984

I am fine with being called an ass. And my spelling critique would take away from your point, not his, if anything.

  • @DerReisendeGaijin Hi spelling is another concern. Lets try to stay on point here please or your comments will be removed. It's easy to be immature, but it takes someone real intelligent to be mature. Think about that. :)

  • @ChuckNorrisKratosLOL couldnt agree more. good riddance to that nihilist shithead

  • fuck george carlin. nihilistic self loathing piece of shit.

  • @suchafool990 If you're a man, then you're also self-hating by declaring hatred for Carlin, a fellow man (by your own logic, since Carlin doesn't ever say he hates himself explicitly).

  • @somethingdiffrant its called reading between the lines. you assume I hate him for irrational reasons when in fact I hate him for his own irrational beliefs which creates far more irrational hatred. Therefore my beliefs are rational. understand?

  • @suchafool990 That was hard to follow because it didn't make sense! I understand disliking someone for their irrational hatred, but hatred in itself in pretty irrational by nature. I think you're just promoting more hatred, and not doing logic much justice. "Reading between the lines" doesn't mean making up your own logic. If you're a man, then logically you shouldn't hate another man for hating men. It just doesn't make sense.

  • @somethingdiffrant maybe to a stupid brainwashed liberal it doesnt make any sense. but hatred believe it or not is a natural human emotion, and normal response to something that threatens yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @suchafool990 Name calling=last resort of a weak argument. Sarcasm=another last resort. Grammatical errors=most likely not thinking things through. Assuming I'm a brainwashed liberal=illogical and damaging to one's credibility. I am now realizing you are way out of your league and I should stop. See ya.

  • @somethingdiffrant its people like you that make me sometimes wish God would send an asteroid down and destroy this planet.

  • LOLOLOL

Like if you enjoy witnessing this "Male Disease" in action on youtube (especially regarding George Carlin videos).

  • Soooo trueeeee

    This man is gooooddd

  • God, it's so great to see a man be able to see this stuff. not saying women are flawless but all this shit's true so let's not deflect.

  • avoiceformen . com / 2011 / 04 / 30 / men-are-a-disease-a-critique-of-george-carlin /

  • The lack of male concern for our own health is unfortunate. I surmise that it has something to do with male primary value not being something inherent but rather what a man is defined as "being a man" This is because male value, particularly to the opposite sex is not inherent as male attraction to females is. Suffice as to say that male value has always been placed in male external utility and use. His musculature suggests the same. I wonder who will realize this, accept it, nurture and heal it

  • @Red0660 This is a good piece of reasoning, and an excellent counter-argument to Carlin's position. Because males are prized for what they can do rather than who they are, and women the opposite, we've got a lopsided society that treats both sexes unfairly.

  • He makes the mistake of belittling male social organization which also so happens to be a product of sexual selection and thus male-male competition and thus the development of hierarchies . It is the unique benefits of male social organization that has made the male contributes to the human race possible.

  • Comment removed

  • 13 people have the male disease

  • See here, the thing is this:

Based on personal experience, I can deduce that gender has NO bearing whatsoever on ANYTHING expect for someone's sexual preference. Other than that, I've seen just as many smart women as I've seen stupid men. The notion that women are more caring or that men are stronger is not relevent because they ALSO don't hold true. Gender doesn't even hold bearing on the stereotypical views. Society does, because it expects certain things from certain people, with no excuses.

  • I'm a guy and I agree whole heartedly with Carlin here. That should be enough.

  • @ChuckNorrisKratosLOL ur the first comment ive seen hate carlin congrats

  • @ChuckNorrisKratosLOL Definitely.

  • People are generally stupid. Therefore, I submit to you all that Carlin was not human.

  • @xXMaJoRxSnIpEzXx lmaoooo

  • lmfao @ him calling men "afterthoughts". aw poor men. Its a good thing this POV came from a man, if a woman had said all of this (which she wouldn't, any *real* woman wouldn't, at least..) but if she had, she'd be getting so much shit for it.

  • I don't really feel the things he's describing here, like the need not to cry or the inability to express how I feel, but I do feel that as a man who is that way, it's a fucking handicap. In order to have any respect I still have to be like he's describing, and I can't do it.

  • @uckthat Actually I don't believe that's the case and I also believe that Carlin cut a lot of the bullshit in society. He said things that everyone though, but no one wanted to talk about. His thoughts make so much sense and are true. Just as Carlin also said.. People are afraid of the truth.. They'd rather scratch their balls.

  • @kMC303 People are afraid of the truth. They'd rather make men "the crappy thing" instead of being honest about how pretty crappy women are too.

  • poor old fuck his body decomposed, and his great mind forever lost....too bad

  • so true.... george.. im so happy u once lived....

  • We have been for as long as there has been recorded history, a patriarchal society, human society currently is just about as bad as it's ever been. Now it does not take alot of thinking to come to the conclusion that just maybe we are not going about things the right way and just maybe we should try things a little different. "Growth for the sake of growth is the behaviour of cancer".

  • Next time your car breaks down, or you need towing, or construction work, or machine work, or street/highway repairs, or aircraft construction, or plumbing work, or oil drilling, or military combat, or fireman assistance, or bomb defusing, or heavy machinery operation, or farm work, or welding, or steel milling, or home repair, or electrical work, etc., etc.... please see a woman.

  • @tashload

you are right....and what you probably don't realise is that women did ALL of those jobs during the second world war and did it all just as well as men...while all the guys were overseas getting their balls shot off, unfortunately from the nature of your comment its obvious George was actually talking about YOU.

  • @donnyab

The US was in the second world war less than 4 years. It was not an "average" period in history by any means. Also, during that war women DID NOT do ALL those jobs I mentioned. And they DID NOT do many of those jobs as well as the men.

Haven't seen many women doing those jobs in 65 years... why is that?

And -as usual- when one has no real argument the only comment remaining is a PERSONAL ATTACK.

  • Comment removed

  • My mom taught me to repress my emotions, not my dad. This bullshit is enforced by both genders.

  • "Not all men. Just enough. Just enough to fuck things up"...I do agree with most of what he is saying in the way of how fear drives peoples' behavior. However, not that all of earths' problems trace back to a fathers' doing to his son. Paradigm Affect is a little more complex than that . Ever heard the song "Daughters" by John Mayer? the women's role in this is mutually responsible. The cascade and distance from Truth and sight of Self become more ballistic, more Imbecile with each generation ;)

  • not all men, just enough. Just enough to fuck thing up!

  • Lost me at the "men are modified women" part.

  • Wow this is something coming from a heavy substance abuser. :D

    Good point tho.

  • What does this guy have a war against biology.

  • I hate humanity

  • Men made it socially unacceptable to hit a woman. Name one famous invention by a woman?

  • @whoatemyhummus Cynthia Breazeal, inventor of Kizmet as well as other sociable robots, Helen Free, inventor of the at home diabetes test, and Hedy Lamarr, inventor of the Frequency-hopping spread-spectrum.

I disagree with Carlin. His views are biased, the product of an older generation. We live in a different time, men, as well as women, have overcome many of the difficulties that were the direct result of a toxic culture. Men are valuable people, and not all are violent. Remember Gandhi?

  • @petitemasochist

Hedley Lamarr did she actually invent FHSS or was it her husband really....did she have an engineering degree before she became a film star ?

His views are not biased, he is totally correct, what difficulties have been overcome exactly, the economy of the planet is a basket case and there is an impending war, same old shit.

Now Gandhi WAS of an older generation, there aint on Gandhis around that I can see and we really need some now. I am getting seriously fed up with peeps.

  • @donnyab Lamarr learned much from her husband, but the idea of frequency hopping was entirely her own. No, she didn't have a degree. Relations between men and women have improved, and men are not as eager to conform to the standards of hegemonic masculinity; these were strongly enforced when Carlin was young. I only used Gandhi as an example of a man of peace, I suppose the current Dalai Lama also qualifies. Our world has always been in peril, but that's beside the point. You misunderstood me.

  • @petitemasochist "older generation"? How many 70-year-old guys do you know that were as left-wing and anti-conservative/anti-Republican as him?? If anything, he share a lot more with NEWER generations, esp. in terms of his views.

  • @whoo689 I meant that he was raised in a generation that was saturated with hegemonic masculinity and misogyny, so naturally he is very pessimistic about men.
