hi axel, Tony was indeed a very talented and funny man. Try looking for the 'Hovis' advert which Tony did a parody of, he also recorded on 'Rubber records' and indeed one album was with Dick Gaughan and Dave Burland with all songs by Ewan Macoll (and brilliant it is too), he also recorded other albums on vinyl which you might be able to get copies of. I have two or three. It would be great to get some tapes of his TV series and put them out on Utube but I have failed to be able to find any.
Hey, is there anywhere/way i can download this? Its awesome, I'm 22 and getting into Tony's stuff, aswell as other artists like Ewan MacColl and Dick Gaughan.
I'm also from lincolnshire and laughed my ass off at the Cleethorpes is Lincolnshire's Disneyland. Would be great if i could get this some how!
Thank you so much for posting this: my band shared several gigs with Tony at Nic Jones's club in Chelmsford in the late 60s, and it brought back many happy memories.
Nice to hear from you young fella! Am pleased this helps people remember Tony for the genius he was. May have some Dave Burland with Capstick and Dick Gaughan, if so will post it on. Keep yer' eye out!
Well I'm sorry for the mistake. It sounded Irish to me. Got to learn the different accents in the UK since I listen to so many great artist from over there.
I was in Tennessee last year with 7 female members of my family and Americans kept asking us if we were Australian and once I was asked if I was German lol.
Hmmm! Maybe it was something to do with the hats the ladys were wearing with dangly corks, and the Prussian Army helmet you had on with a giant saveloy strung over your shoulder! These 'septics' can be very sharp.
one of my favourite songs. Thanks for helping keep it 'alive'.

One of the funniest turns I ever saw
He was better than Billy Connoly, MIke Harding, Jasper Carrot . They gave him a tv show but then failed to let him off the lead. Sad loss.
