Evolve your soma till you get the special skill available to be forged through soma build (it should be a pair of green boots and its description have a single material requeriment of X/30 something so its easy to know which it is)

You need 30 elemental stones for that characters element (shing= light, Kohak= fire, and so on). you can buy them from shops, so dont worry.

In battle then when you have 100 CG hold L after any attack and you will do it

Oh lessen learned. Shing doing hi ougi on Chalcedony = He gets you back RIGHT away.

He actually uses a hi ougi after having a certain HP reached, since long comboes mean high damage, and mostly they end with hi ougi, he probably will do it after a hi ougi

I've been wondering what a lot of the new spells look like (excluding spike stone and starlight). What does Ray Needle, Aqua Geyser, Massive Rock, Dead Soul and Black Maggots look like? I know it seems like a lot, but no one else has put videos up for these new spells.

Ray needle will appear eventually on my boss battles (god bosses spam it later on, hahaha dont worry) Dead Soul is the pillar of darkness that Kunzite does, Massive Rock is Rolling Stone, Black Maggots is like hands comming from the floor.

I could make a spell exhibition, when I get all the spells :)

About interrupting, its not that bad, Beryl has a lot of EG, meaning she has naturally lots of CG (CG=EG), thus she can spam spells freely AND she can summon characters or do hi ougis without the strain of CG (she has like 2 times more CG than Kunzite most of the time XD)

I have to say Kevassa you are a true Tales player in every sense of the words! That was an outright insane battle, and the fact you had to put with Byrocks' Starlight yet again is admirable.

Beryl constantly dying put a strain on your Life Bottles. Yeesh, these guys are pros. X_X

As for beryl, she was the only character who did SOMETHING on this fight (and I didnt want hisui, because I already had a healer), Kunzite dies more often, though XD

She is pretty much useless unti she gets a multi hitting tech, we are talking about AI, though.

Innes controlled by me is pretty good, but the Ai is too stupid, also Innes has HORRID Magic Defense, and dies horribly fast with Starlight XD (Kunzite falls the same category).

The AI is so stupid it would do this

Run > Hit > Run back > wait

If it gets interrupted it will start running back, anyways XD Her AI gets better when she gets more skills, though... as she spams them more

I always blows my mind how in Star Ocean: The First Departure the AI characters can do huge damage with their combos but absolutely refuse to use them. "Hey guys, you can attack more than one in a row, you know!"
