  • beautiful...just beautiful, although i'm partial to George Benson putting his magic to this piece. Randy is great....

  • that is what my mother listen while i was growing up....and i still love it how many years later...at that time it was something i just listen cause it was house music ..wow...now i understand it.....much more at my age...

  • wow... che pezzo e che voce! eccezionale!

  • it's amasing... the song, randy's voice, evrything... it can be used to explaine evryone's life...

  • so so so true.everything changes.beautiful song.

  • I've never heard of her before today, but what beautiful music, what a voice! And does her younger pictures remind anyone else of Janet Jackson? It's kind of weird.

  • beautiful thank you.

  • I went to Junior High with her and she was blowing back then too. She turned out our Talent Show singing a Sarah Vaughn classic - Forbidden Fruit. I think this album, "Everything Must Change" is her best by far.

  • Smooth, smooth. Her voice is like sweet, melting honey.

  • This song is just pure unadulterated TRUTH! You hear me?

  • She nail this song. Oh what sweet memories this brings to my mind.

  • i love this song but when she sang I Never Been To Me thats to me was a Bomb.

  • Oh how precious and softly beautiful this song is...touches the heart...and is so very true

  • everything must change and such the humanity of man has been revealed.she sings and time stands still and i am captured by the resonance of her voice and the reality of her song"EVERYTHING MUST CHANGE" rob

  • 2:47 - my spine tingles!

  • Classic. As wonderful today as it was back then.

  • I first heard this song 25 years ago, a junkie had a tape, he left it at my apartment in NY, a couple years later my friend Jeanette stole my stolen tape from me, I hadn't heard it again till now, what a lucky day this is,mm

  • Randy rox!

  • Oh so many years ago, Stella Link, a superb DJ @ KAZI in Austin,TX turned me onto this beautiful song and so many others. Also calls to mind Teena Marie's Deja Vu, another Stella favorite. Bless you, Stella Link, wherever you may be.

  • she is always w/me in her songs

  • when you are going through something this song with help you get through. i needed this more than words can say... thank you randi you sound like silk sheets on a hot day...

  • That's what lord buddha said.

  • Wonderful voice! Beautiful words, that's the blessing of songs like this one sung by someone like Randy.

  • WOW...what a great singer,love this song....George Benson sings a version,maybe he wrote it

  • Randi's Spirit moves me in a way like No Other

  • Does anyone know who wrote this beautiful song?

  • That`s the spirit, music is made of !!!!!!!!

  • make it so it plays louder what a singer.......ggggrrrreeat88888888

  • simply fantastic...more beer please...

  • I fully agree...*hick-up*...yes, more beer! ;-)

    Also about the chick singin'

    Very, very fine!

  • I love the lyrics of this song it was sang to me by our best friend and a great musician in kyoto japan on our 10th wedding anniversary!! Thanks Stephen Burns!!!!! We love you and now 14 years later I still think everything must change except our friendship!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes yes randy crawford does such a beautiful job!!this to me is the best version of this song!!!

  • I just finished listening to different versions of this song and while I love many different versions she puts that liitle extra part of her soul into her lyrics that are untouchable and it gives me tingles. She astounds and though she hasn't reached the success she deserves I'm sure God has blessed her beyond her voice

  • I was introduced to Randy in the late 70's. This song to me has always been her most special. It's just heart rending. And her delivery and voice are just untouchable

  • there are surely few singers that move me as much as Randy does. art & storm maybe or eva cassidy . Terrific song!

  • NOBODY TODAY CAN HOLD A CANDLE TO HER. I would put her in the same league as Oleta Adams, (who also has her own version of this song).

  • I think that is more or less the same what I was trying to say ;-) ????

  • I agree the BEST version I've ever heard. She has an Amazing crisp voice...& yes she was hot back in he day.

  • George Benson sings a fantastic version of this song too but damn, Randy Crawford can SANG!!! This is the BEST version I've ever heard

  • Everything Must Change was written by Bernard Ighner.

  • The words to this song are so moving. I wonder who wrote this? She is amazing...

  • Randy Crawford is my soul, Thanks for making this video.

  • She sure was hot back in her day

  • music makes me cry, so does randy

  • like the buddha said 2500 years ago,Everything will only happens, excist and decay even this world and universe.Nothing really belong to anybody.

  • simply said from its words... randy my diva... the best

  • This song just ran into my life and I love it... thanks Randy....

  • true!

  • I lost my partner of 25 years on New Year's Day. This song is such wonderful comfort. Thanks so much.

  • i'm so sorry for your loss......

  • In lost my father 22 years ago when I was a child, I understand and am sorry for your loss. Randys song "One day I'll fly away" makes me sad. But then I remember we have to go on and as she says wounded hearts will heal.

  • Thats interesting to read because I was impressed as a kid when I heard the melancholy original on Quincy's 1974 LP, Body Heat, and many years later when I bought Randy's soulful LP version. A few months ago, I replayed Q's old CD and images of a funeral and celebration of life and life's passing flooded my mind, tho it was of no one in particular. The version by the songwriter Ighner on Q's Body Heat is just simply different, different era and recording technology Very evocative as is Randy's.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! I'm doing this song for an audition at Tangier's today at 3:15p....AAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!

  • this voice is something incredible...

    awesome!

  • Can someone please find IMAGINE. Thanks

  • I also love James Ingram's version.

  • Thank you its my favorite too

  • Lady Crawford, your voice bring pleasure. Thank you

  • Lawd Have Mercy!!!

  • Only stupid person never change opinions only false and artificial things stay the same forever ...time changes world and it's amazing to see how as long as we are around to see all these changements THANKS YOU TUBE for this sweet voice and this sweet song

  • ever since i heard your voice Randy, you have always express the way my soul crave for what we call music. thank you very much and God bless you and your family always....Vic Espinosa of Iloilo city,Phillipines

  • beautifull song, sung by barbra streisand too

  • I also like Oleta Adam's version.

  • This is Randy's first album the entire album rules, she does"Never Been to Me", a version which blows Charlene's version away about 6 years before Charlene's version

  • If anybody can find & post the Randy Crawford song This Night was Made for One Thing Only from the Stakeout movie soundtrack,I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

  • Randy Crawford has the most beautiful sultry voice ever. I love her

  • So sultry and beautiful! No one can touch her to date.

  • I wonder...

    Are you a millionaire?

You are? Great, you still couldn't afford this voice!

p.s. Her voice is worth more than your pathetic million!

    wow.. ;)

  • Randy truly brings her heart to this and touches a space seldom touched in me.

  • ¡Qué preciosidad, por Dios!

  • The original version is by Billy Paul sometime in the 70's I think. This is THE version of this song. Great lyrics and superb performance! The Standard!

  • Google "Benard Ighner" or look under Quincy Jones. Mr. Ighner wrote the tune and performed it with Quincy Jones. I think I actually like George Benson's version the best (also from the 70's).

  • cuanto admiro tu musica y tu voz gracias randy

  • she's a bebe darlingy! just a sweet heart of voice

  • she was absolutely gorgeous

  • This lady has one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen.

  • this is my sisters fav song :)

  • thanks xxxxx

  • CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really nice live version. I first heard this song covered by George Benson and mistakenly assumed he wrote it. I just found out it was covered earlier by Quincy Jones (although Benard Ighner wrote the tune I don't think I've heard his version). Googled Mr. Ighner and found out some really interesting stuff.

  • After more digging I found out that Mr. Ighner is the vocalist on the Quincy Jones recording. Anybody have that recording to share?

  • That's the one I'm looking for too! I can't remember what album it was on....please share if you know.

  • I believe the song was on an album called Body Heat. It's also on the Quincy Jones "Ultimate Collection CD". I don't own either but I googled the info.

  • That's it Body Heat...Thank you so much! I think I gotta get the Ultimate Collection

  • 'Ultimate Collection,' I'm going to do the same thing 'Squire,' wow, beautiful! :)

  • I first heard this song performed at a college jazz ensemble concert by some guy that I wish I could hear again. This is such a stellar song. Thanks for posting it.

  • its my favorite song..always has been, but Randy trumps George Benson in a BIG way on this one. Im a die hard Patti Labelle and Chaka fan, and there sint much at all that I dont like from them, but Randys' version of this song, is my favorite all time tune...BRAVA!! Madam Crawford..

  • I really enjoyed that...if you like that song check out my two favorite performances. One is Oleta Adams version of it and the other , if you can find it, is a guy named David peaston. He won 6 times on the Apollo in the late 80's and ended up doing 2 albums. But he KILLED that song. Sort of like Phillip Bailey would have done it! I think you'd like it. Hope so anyway!

  • i am very lucky to share with you, that i had the chance to have invited Randy in Bangkok for drink in Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. Randy had a concert in Bangkok that time in the Siam intercontinental Hotel. She is a one of the best singer for me and most of all very down to earth person. she should make a come back and make more song..

  • This song makes me cry!.. It's profundity--yet simple truth(s)

  • I hope Latondra heares it in tenn, nashville much Love

  • randy crawford's voice gives me goose bumps all over.

truly original,no one sings like her. whew !!!!!!

  • Now that's singing about something that matters

    outstanding classic

  • I love her rendition of this song.

  • Wonderful

  • I love the words, so true.

  • I adore u miss Randy great voice

  • Yeah it is, Everything must change...life still goes on!

  • Magnifique, she takes me over and over this world...feel nice

  • Speechless
