  • Thanks for the tips. I relax my hair every month and it's dry and keeps falling out I knew it wasn't moisturized enough but I thought that was the problem so after watching your video's I have learned a lot. so now i'm going to try your tips and see how they work for me and again thank you.

  • thanks for the tips am goin to start my hair journey.

  • I LOVE U SO MUCH !!!! thanx so much you dont know how much this means to me ...LOve ur laugh!!

  • Ty soo much 4 the advice I luv'd the part about changing this mentality we have that black hair is bad hair, we really need to fix ourselves internally first b4 we look 2 the external :) spot on, what a natural beauty.

  • Do you recommend doing hot oil treatments every week ? Or pre-pooing with oils every week ?

  • Ugh, haters will hate Lovely... LOL! Thanks, so much for the tips! I'm starting my hair journey right now! You're a great inspiration... I've already started with the protective styles and I love wigs too... Thanks, again and I most likely will be hitting you up for some advice later on in my journey!!! :o)

  • Thank you for the tips. I have been battling wiith my hair for 6 years now and with your tips I hope they can work for my hair.

  • Hey can you direct me to the START of your journey??

  • natural hair? yea right ... after LOTS of chemicals isn't natural anymore.

  • @Windwild

Disagree, when you grow out that LYE relaxer your new growth is natural hair. I disagree. I grew out my relaxer or shall I say when I went through chemo I never put another relaxer in my hair when my hair grew back. that was in 2004.

  • Hi can you please send me the link so that I can know my hair grade??!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!

  • hay i watch your videos alot && im 13 && my name is kiki. but i just want to know how do you find your grade????

  • Thankyou so much for the advice I would like to start my own hair journey

  • she look like she has a weave-

but is she promotign her own hair growth?

not ragging; just tryign to get the facts

  • no it's doesn't look like a wig, IT IS a wig

who's promoting?? i'm just giving hair tips take it or leave it, if you don't like the fact that i didn't feel like doing my hair and threw on a wig keep it moving.

  • very inspirational I ddn't know to oil the hair 2 times a day good tips thank you :)

  • what is a hair grade

  • I hate my hair color is it safe to put the black rinse in because without it my hair doesnot look moisturized

  • hello lovelyti2002. Thank you for your posting. it was very informative and helpful. I have a question. How do you find out your hair grade? and how does that affect your hair regimen? Thank you and God Bless :)

  • i made a video about hair grades, i will email you the link.

  • me too please. I have African hair I mean my daddy Liberian. What is that

  • Please email me the link as well...thanks in advance! And I REALLY love your videos! Your spirit is so alive and easy to get along with lol

  • okay i can survive only straighting my hair only once a week, thats hardly an issue but relaxing TWICE a YEAR??!! idk if i can handle that i relax my hair every 3 months if i dont my hair looks awful...do u think if i follow all ur tips excluding the relaxing my hair twice a year my hair could become healthy? and i find hair on my satin pillow sometimes can u list the oils u use in a video so i kno how 2 prevent that? thnx so much ;)

  • If u ask any professional they will tell you that u absolutely should not relax your hair any more than every 6 months. That might be the reason ur hair is breaking. Relaxers weaken ur hair significantly and in some cases can stop hair growth all together.

  • Wow. i watched all three of your vedios. And you had some really good tips im really going to try out. Thanks for making these vedios it really helped me learn a few thing(:

  • after watchin all 3 videos on ur hair journey,i had to subscribe,3months i started growin my hair natural,my roots recently broke a plastic comb, freaked me out!! so hearing dat i could perm twice a year and flat iron once a week or so with the aid of oils and satin etc is a god send...i am accepting that i genetically have slow growing jaw-length hair.i wish more length could possibly kick in,but if making it healthier will save my combs.hopefully length and bounce can kick in.thank u so much!

  • After searching on youtube for answers to many question I had--I came across your 3 sets of video which truly helped me. I was wondering , Is it bad to braid relaxed hair every 2 weeks for 2-3 ?

  • after long search about hair on youtube this 3 set of video truly helped and answered most of my questions. Is it good to have conrow on relaxed hair every 2weeks fo 2-3 months ?

  • thanks for the tips. pls, can u write a list of all things you use for your hair. the oils, conditioner, protein, shampoo and all. also, i think my hair is different and any little thing make it break. i always have braids and corn rolls on and i relax when i take them off. if i dont relax my hair, the new growth always looks so different from my relaxed hair which makes it look ugly and snappy. do u think i can survive relaxing my hair only twice a year?

  • im a very impatient man, and after my mom just cut my dead ends im even more impatient, but i will take ur advice, thanks for this and i have jungle black hair lol hope it works

  • how frequent do u go 2 dominicans, cuz I went all natural in 2004 and this is the first time im having it straightned and I need some positive results im nervous

  • thanks so much for the sub!!

  • Do you do your own hair?

  • yep, i have been doing my own hair since i was 13 lol

  • Thank you for responding to my "hair trim" issue. First of all after watching your video's I pulled out my natural hair care products or shall I say almost natural hair care products. Washed, conditioned, oil my hair. I kept it wrapped in my silky hair wrap, in addition oiling my hair twice a day every day. I must admit I did miss a few days. But I am aware. Due to my carelessness my hair is dry, brittle, with brittle split ends. I will have my hair trim this week and move forward.

  • yehhh i am glad you got some determination from my video, yes girl black hair can grow, people talk mess all the time about African hair and i am proof that african hair can grow just like any one else, thanks for watching!

  • How frequently do you trim your ends? Also, you are beautiful and has a healthy out look on life. I look forward to more of your hair instructions.

  • hi thanks so much for the compliment :) i truly appricate that! i am so glad you enjoyed my video, i have plenty of hair info lol ....as far as trims lol i am not a big fan of them, i trim as i feel some people have a problem with that, but it's my hair lol i basically tell people to do what they feel they need to do to their hair when it comes to trims some trim every 6-8 weeks i personally don't ,but to each it's own.

    thanks for watching!!

  • thanks for the great tips. Im encouraged! what do you do between the relaxers.. my hair begins to shed around six to eight weks before the relaxer..

  • thank you so much!! while stretching i made sure to keep my hair well moisturized and oiled in between relaxer this helped me a lot some people do experience shedding from long stretches to be careful and do what works for your hair thanks for watching!!

  • ur laugh is contaaagious!!

  • lol thanks girl!

  • where do your get your oils? on-line or at stores?

  • Thank you for the tips. It's nice to hear more black women on a healthy hair journey. I have only been post relaxer for 4 months and would like to grow it out completely. I have been dealing with shedding esp. with the two textures. I started using a hot comb which I know I shouldn't do. I wanted to get the link on co-washing. Thx.

  • hey girl thank you so much for your support congrats on starting your own hair journey

i have to search for a link but for the most part just wash your hair with a cheap condish like rain or wash this is less traumatizing to your hair the is no sls in conditioner so conditioner is the way to go.

with the shedding try a strong protein treatment like aphogee hard core or try henna this should help stop the breakage.

  • I really agree with all the tips that you are giving. Congratulations with your hair itss beautiful!

  • hey ajj thank you so much for your kind word!!

    be blessed

    ti

  • ok first wow ur hair looks so great! i have really wanted to grow my hair out it is a little bit longer then my shoulders but i was wondering if you have any ideas on how i should start my journey... right now i get my hair done every two weeks and since i am 16 i tend to be the test dummy at the salon. i would also like to know how you feel about wet to dry straightners? thanks!

  • hey dot thanks alot for the compliment,

i would say the 1st thing to do is give the salon a rest, for a while don't let them treat you like that, they should treat everyone's hair with the same respect&care,i would recommend getting to know your hair 1st.

find out your hair grade,i have a video about this once you know this you will have a better idea what u need to do,start by

co-washing your hair 1x a week clarify at the end of the mth, limit all heat products, use natural oils too.

    hth

  • please limit all flat ironing, the problem wit these new wet2dry flat irons is that alot

of women think they can just towel blot their hair, then run a flatiron through it.this causes alot of damage it can cause the hair 2 burn severely, it's like scalding your hair follicles.water is being burned in 2 your hair and causing the hair shaft to bubble like your cooking a pot of spaghetti,

i stay away from them period it's safer 2air/blowdry if u choose 2 use it make sure your hair is 90% dry.

    hth

  • how do you find out, what grade of hair you have? I am mixed. My hair is long, even after cutting it for my wedding. But for the last year i have notice a lot of breakage on my shirts. Whats a good perm to use, i perm my hair twice a year. Im overseas and am wondering how to make some natural products

  • shampoo to get my hair very clean and reduce any type of conditioner build up, there are tons of women who do this when i first heard about it i thought it was a lil crazy too lol but once i did my research it made sense to me, and i have been doing it for 2 years and my hair has grown and is very healthy.

here go a link that you can read more about

    co-washing, hth

  • youtube will not let me copy and past the link, i will email it to you tasha, if anyone else wants the link, hit me up and i will send it to you!!

    thanks ladies

  • Of course she gona laugh LOL she a hair stylist she makes money off of washing and styling hair, the thing that a lot of people may not realize about shampoo is that it can be very drying on a.a hair especially on

4a&4b hair,I wash my hair once a week I wash with a cheap conditioner like rain or suave then I do a deep condish with top of the line conditioners this has made my hair healthier and softer it keeps a lot of moisture in my hair, then at the end of the month I wash with a clarifying

  • hi tasha how i kept it manageable, was washing, oiling and throwing on a wig to protect it lol, but now that i have decided to wear my real hair i'm trying to come up with a new routine. A way to smooth out your new growth is to get a domincan blow, it's a lot of heat but it helps some women have more manageable hair, as i get futher in to my transition i will let you know.

  • I watched all of your videos and I would like to start a hair blog. However I have a few questions what is the henna used for and what is the names of the products you use for moisture and hair care including shampoos? I have very thin hair and it's damaged due to perms and braid. I have discontinued the use of braid due to my damaged edges but I have a stress spot in the middle of my head that breaks when I don't wear braids. What do you suggest?

  • Congrats on starting a hair blog! henna is wonderful my hair is still soft and supple,I can't wait to do another treatment! Henna is used help strengthen hair,it is also a natural hair dye it can turn your hair brown or red depending on the ingredients that you use in your henna and the color that you choose,I think the main thing u need to do is give your hair a rest,no perms, braids, dyes etc.

I only use shampoo 1x a mth to clarify the rest of the mth I wash 1x a week w/conditioner only.
