  • @TRXhobby101 thanks for the tip..

  • Chris Fessenden said he had loaned the truck to a group of fellow soldiers, who used it to check the road ahead of them on a patrol. It got tangled in a trip wire connected to what Fessenden guesses could have been 500 lbs. of explosives. The bomb went off. The six soldiers controlling the truck from their Humvee were unhurt.

  • @dresden67 I read it and it's a great story...very cool. It was a Traxxas truck with FPV gear on it. Something that can be easily done but can obviously save lives in the battlefield, So cool

  • there's a story on the drudge report, about this very same toy truck, that saved 6 soldiers lives in afghanistan..

  • are you in Adelaide? Because I live in Stirling, not sure if it was incorrectly spelt :L

  • @BullDog8391 No Somerdale, NJ.

  • Nice body

  • respectful driver.

  • i was driving my traxxas stampede a couple weeks ago and i was going so fast my foam out of the 2 back wheels fell out.i like the sound and power of nitro (i have a 2.5 smaxx)but when it comes to speed eletric is the to go...

  • @evony65 I've just found electric RC in general much easier, cleaner, lower volume. This is mostly for planes as I would never be able to fly in a neighborhood field with a Nitro plane. I'd get too man noise complaints. With the trucks your right for speed you can't beat electric, it's all torque! I'm just glad I got into RC when I did, about 4-5 years ago. Electric batteries and power plants have come a long way!

  • i think its funny you say that, im the same way now, i have the p 51 and if im not flying low to the ground or upside down it just gets boring, i fly my foamiet more than anything, i have the msr too, but i bought the mcpx and haven't touched the msr since, im putting the mcpx on ebay this weekend though, it has to many bad tendencies when trying to 3d, and it hurts alot if you hit your self with it! the head speed is a little faster than the msr!

  • yeah i agree, if i want a rush i will get my multiplex funjet out, or my trex 450, and if i want to relax ill get the old 2 meter powered glider out, sit back in a lawn chair and thermal around, 50 minute flights do get tiring though : )

  • @stompjrkz400 I fly the Hexakopter a few times a week and it can be stressfull. The results in the photos are usually great and worth it, I have some stuff on my youtube page. I was just flying my Corsair on Sunday and I have another foamie and a blade MSR. I plan on buying a new plane soon but not sure what to get. I'm very much into 3D and I get bored just flying around. Most of the time flying my corsair I fly inverted, cause I'm bored. I had a 3DHS Edge I lost to interference.

  • im building a brushless pede right now, but for some reason i never have that much fun with land vehicles, the planes are where its at! & helis now

  • @stompjrkz400 I agree completely. I always prefer to fly RC then to drive RC. You don't have the same freedom. I have a few planes now (I've had many more). I have a heli and a Hexikopter. I fly all the time.

  • nice wheelie bar

  • i'll bet if the school grounds keeper would have seen you running your truck on that rubber track ...he would have BOOTED you off...haha

  • @xtrmn8tr1 Maybe but I don't see why. I wasn't tearing up the track. If I was I would have stopped. I'm not tryin to damage property.

  • As in Rock Crawling? No there are specially made trucks for that. Not sure if you could mod it into one but I would think you would need more low end torque. This truck is like a race car with big wheels.

  • Is it ok for crawling like being a guy that wants to be pulled up alot?

  • is dat black chrome rims?? Answer!!!!

  • @MrGamester66 Is dat English? Just kidding, No they're chrome.

  • You obviosly know a lot about rc so can u tell me what traxxas elecrtic car i should get? i know that you might not answer even if you read this but please do.

  • @mrlagit25 I honestly don't feel comfortable answering that question because RC flying is more of my expertise than trucks. From what I've learned, Traxxas makes a great product and the replacement parts or upgrades are easy to get and plentiful. This truck is fast as hell and it's fun! However, it does wheelie alot if you're not smooth on the throttle so for that reason you may want to get a Rustler or something. I'm no expert sorry if it was a plane question, I'd feel better answering.

  • @mrlagit25 if you're looking for a recomendation for something affordable that's ready to run out of the box you should really look into a traxxas stampede or rustler. both will do about 35 mph and are easy to repair when things go bad.

if you have a pep boys near you you can pick up either one for $199. plus tax (comes with everything you need but the AA batterys for the controller) and if you sign up for the pep boys rewards you get a $10. gift certificate for every $200. you spend.

  • @mrlagit25 I have only traxxas cars. I would recommend the traxxas slash 4x4 or the traxxas slash 2wd. If you are looking for more of a basher type car go with the traxxas E-Maxx. I hope this helps. :)

  • @mrlagit25 you must buy a rustler vxl or an e-revo or bandit vxl

  • @mrlagit25 It depends on what you want to do with it. What do you want to do with an RC truck?

  • @mrlagit25 ive had a stampede for a while now and the pede or e-maxx would be the highest rating by me but it realy depends on what your price range is.

  • nice pede i have a stampede vxl with 8 cell 50+

  • Ur truck hauls around pretty good...(At least faster than I did, jogging around that same track in P.E. class back in the day).

  • @j6sj7 HA! That's funny man. What year did you graduate? I got a lot of friends that went there. Even though I grew up a mile from the school I would have went to Triton but unfortunately I did not go to public school.

  • @redhotpearl1 Well, that's what I get for commenting...It was before you n ur budds were born... Class of '71.

  • yea um 7min 3secs of my life back please!

  • @spartafan99 LOL! If you didn't like the video why would you watch the whole thing! And then comment on it? Wow!

  • just got mine!! i love it it's the 2010 model. Greater basher and jumper!! and suprisingly handles very well at my local track. nice video " ohhh" lol

  • I'd be wary using those batteries with the Stampede mate, even if it is a 30C battery, it would only be pushing 60 amps....chances are its more like 20C and pushing 40 amps. That truck needs a bit more than that, 70+. Be careful you dont puff your battery.

  • @locksmack Thanks for the heads up. I don't have them in front of me but I think the Lipos are rated 30-45C. I thought this was more than enough but I don't profess to be a wizard at power plants either. I think these batteries are done now anyway. I had the truck out the other day with these batts. fully charged. It would only run for a bit, not nearly as long as it used to, and would stop...low voltage protection? I may sell it. Too busy to even drive it.

  • what did your friend break because stampedes r tough i have one

  • I once drove my stampede on a school track, and the teacher got in front of the truck, and stepped on it. :-(

  • Wow what an asshole. I don't miss those highschool or those teachers. I'm 30, this is just a local highschool. If a teacher had stepped on my truck I would have punched him in the face. That being said, never been bothered here and I fly my planes here too.

  • @spacepolic29 Should of had it all decked in steel and then see them step in front of it at 60mph lol..

  • sterling asn't sterling, new york?

  • Nah, Sterling highschool NJ

  • I have one similar to that one and 2 others.........They are cool!!!!!!!

  • yeah, ive always wanted to drive my rc's on my school track but its way to crowded so everyone ends up getting pissed off.

  • Fun video. Your truck is wicked fast. I really like the toned down graphics. Nice driving too!

You may already know this but you can leave the body on a Pede when you change the battery :)

Zippys are a heck of a good battery for the money. I wish I had my zippies for my last video.

  • Thanks man! I buy all my batteries from Hobbycity now. No reason to pay more, never had a problem as far as quality. I use them in my planes too. The thing is fast as hell. You really need a big place to open it up. As far as driving, I'm really green but I'm used to flying so I'm delicate with the sticks. It's a ton of fun. Thanks again.

  • How long is the runtime?

  • Running the Zippy 3S 2100mah batteries I've been getting about 10-15 minutes depending on how I'm running it. However, because some of them are my airplane batteries I hardly ever run them down all the way.

  • how fast did it turn out to be?

  • Honestly, I don't know. As you can see in another video Death of the Edge, I recently lost my prized plane due to radio interference. I'm currently in the process of buying a DX7 so the radar gun for the truck has been put on hold unfortunetly.

I broke the rear shock on the truck the other day and replaced it with the upgraded aluminum shocks. I took it out yesterday for some speed runs and I'd have to say the thing was going 45mph+. Of course I'm just guessing and it's stock spur and pinion

  • nice that will be coool

  • omg that is so cool iam getting a traxxas stampede and know i want to gt vxl

  • still getting the hang of it. It's got so much power it's rediculous! Gonna look into a radio with some exponential. Should help with steering, maybe throttle too.

  • I'm not sure expo will work on EP throttle. Would be cool if Im wrong though.
