I don't want to say this but the trainer that got attacked first really deserved it; he pissed off the lion, that's why it attacked him. You can't blame the lion for its attack, it simply responded to the provoking of the trainer.

i went to the circus tonight, circus pages, i take my son every year when they come. they dont have problems like this with their lions or tigers. but then again they dont poke at the animals and try to make them perform. at least one lion every show doesnt want to perform and they leave it alone on its stand. thats why i love circus pages, they actually care about the lions and safety and boundaries.
