Lessee, no access to superpower or brick break at that point, bullet punch x scissor won't do that much to snorlax anyway, and snorlax can't do much to scizor so might as well kill it easily with rock smash and its quick defence drops. This is ingame we're talking about.

@MegaGhag put fire red in the gba slot. Go to the rought east of Hearthome. Growlithe will appear, 8% of the time while fire red is in the gba slot. vulpix will appear instead if leaf green is there.

From my memory of this run Arcanine would certainly like flare blitz, but it required training growlithe to a high level so I skipped it. Thunderpunch is generally bad on Electivire. The higher base power of thunderbolt makes it better despite Evires lower Sattck stat. So many people like to believe otherwise, so you're welcome to your opinion. Brick Break is ok...I'd rather run superpower if I can or simply sweep through most things with an swords dance bullet punch.

Any preferences for it's nature or moveset? As far as moveset is concerned, I prefer to avoid egg moves as it takes more time. Tutor moves are fine (as long as they aren't previous gen) as are heart scale moves. (lvl 1 moves)

What I mean is, I will use my actual team at the moment to beat the elite four then I will use the team with pokes you have suggested to beat the elite four again as well as the revamped gym leaders. In platinum, the gym leaders all get stronger once you finish the game and can be refought, and the elite four gain a level boost.
