  • SAMURAIS ARE COOL MEN!!!!!!

  • I think they are korean and chinese. They know Japanese history?

  • Kickass outfits!

  • I WANT JAPAN AND CHINA WAR, VIETNAM AND USA WAR IN 2012

  • At the Battle of Sekigahara, Tadayoshi was attended by Ii Naomasa so the samurai who was conversing with Ieyasu and who rode alongside tadashoyi must be Ii naomasa...

  • @zoroblind69 The red armored samurai (with golden ahhh....looks like flat horns) is Li Naomasa

  • I would prefer it if they were speaking in Japanese to be honest...

  • LOL JAPAN , THAN CHINA

  • i like the flag colors

  • "The Battle of Sekigahara" One of the best Battles I've been through in Shogun 2 :)) those bastards became a traitor

  • Comment removed

  • @EngyJake no you dont you just play shogun 2 total war

  • where the heck is my Idol Yukimura Sanada?

  • @CognacLXVIII More importantly where is his rival Date Masamune

  • WOW I AM WATCHING THIS WHILE DOING A REPORT ON SAMURAI. ANY FACTS FROM ANYONE TO HELP ME?

  • History should be an unforgettable .. I noticed that some Japanese are trying to hide their history associated with the samurai and this is wrong ... They should be proud of the era of samurai ..

  • 侍が英語しゃべってるwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • would been awesome to live in that time

  • @phillipwowm There's no internet that time.

  • @reindweller i meant you was born there and you fighted there with those people

  • THAT WAS AMAZING. That touched me somehow and it was a good battle.

  • @japantruthify01 then you are totally manipulated by some anti-japan VIDEO

  • very sad that many clans have betrayed Mitsunari and ultimately the Western coalition was defeated. Many brave men died in this battle. I know in the battle on the side of Mitsunari was Musashi Miyamoto, the greatest swordsman. I am amazed how he managed to survive the slaughter.

  • LOL BEST STAREDOWN EVER btw the 2 factions...God..I need the spirit of these men in Shogun 2

  • love it

  • Its called shogun heroes and villains

  • from where is this taken? A documentary? if so, which one: I want it

  • @EngyJake i bet you just copied shogun 2 because the fact that u said loan sword ashigaru made it obvious

  • main lesson : use canons to get more allies

  • The samurai must already used that gun in that century the portugal already send a powder gun to them

  • im looking at this because of samurai warriors 3 and sengoku basara3

  • pure epicness

  • 3:00 Fire Cavarly? 3:03 Yari Ashigaru? 3:49 Katana Cavarly? 04:04 Matchloch Ashigaru? 04:46 Katana Samurai? 05:24-05.43 Katana Hero? 07:24 Light Cavarly on background? 07:51 European Cannons? 08:18 Long Yari Ashigaru? 09:43 Loan-Sword Ashigaru? I know alot of things about Japanese War History.
  • @EngyJake or you know a lot of shogun 2 ... liar ... this is samurai porn right here i love this

  • @EngyJake no you just played shogun 2 congratz dumbfuck

  • @DJsharp707 it is sarcasm you dumbfuck. Learn to read and understand before you come shout over here!

  • @EngyJake

That's all you know...? Its... Its... SHAMEFUR DISPRAY!

  • @EngyJake

and you become the Shogun on 2012

  • Wow, the entire period seems to be made up of betrayal, betrayal and, oh, betrayal. Guess honor was something they talked about to make themselves feel better.

  • @JimmieTee

Depends. For example, Uesugi clan were pretty honourable. So was Takeda. But Uesugi was fighting Date in Aizu I believe at that time. Takeda clan fell apart at this point in time.

Also betrayal wasn't all because of material gain. A lot of smaller clans had to do it to survive.

  • I find it interesting that in Shougun 2 Total War they have a historical battle that has the player fight for the Western Front and attempt to win the battle even though its a lose cause.

  • Reminds me of one of our own internal conflicts here in Britain, the Battle of Bosworth Field. Seems like a good documentary, what is its full name and is it online anywhere?

  • Sekigahara i guess

  • what is the name of this movie/documentary/program of other sort

  • What is the name of these movie?

  • thanks to Sanada Masayuki, he manage to hold tokugawa hidetada forces which is 30.000 troops strong with only 2000 man, so he never show up at Sekigahara. Nevertheles the battle still lost cause for western side

  • It amazes me, the skill of the samurai is no doubt beyond recognition, but put a samurai of that 15th century period against a 15th century fully armourd English foot knight its no contest, ive never seen a film as good as this about the wars of the roses for example.

    Food for thought film producers?

  • his horns look fake

  • @eulogaicarpify Actually,if you search "Li Naosuke armor" in google, you'ld know that its not horns in his helmet, but 2 pieces of shape metal (maybe bronze or something)

  • WTF ??!! it's not the same as Shogun 2.

  • I'm watching this right after my great defeat in shogun 2.. let's see how to do it! :D

  • actually, if you use the tokugawa and befriend most of the eastern side of japan, you would ultimately win

  • @demdave24 If it wasn't for Hideaki I could pull out a win. That bastard

  • @demdave24 hauxhauxa :D your crazy man :D

  • they should have do the spear wall

  • Mitsu Naaaah ↑ Rii ↓

    Ie Yaaaahh ↑ Suuu ↓

    wwwwwww

  • nippon-jin eigo umaine. lol

  • it is not really . they almost have not cloth. because they are savages.

  • rifles sucks!

  • where the fuck is tokugawa

  • Yes. Portuguese missionaires. lol

  • さんのソーダありがとうございます。

  • What movie is this from, it's awesome

  • They should at least have Japanese accents

  • It is on English? IMPOSSIBRU!

  • Beatifull colours.

  • SHOGUN!

  • what movie is this from?

  • @Kebo1199 BBC The Shogun

  • why do they have many yari ahigaru than samurai

  • @JosephAllenGameMedia I think because ashigaru were cheap conscripted peasants while samurai were expensive but well trained.

    Samurai were the elite troops.

As knights orders in Europe. The main infantry in Japan were yari ashigaru.

  • @yadrummer11 thanks.

  • too bad they dont fight like samurai in the scene

  • @BruceAmongMortals do you think in a battle every samurai fights the fine, clean an honorable way?

in a battle everything what makes you win is much more important than the way of handling your sword in an honorable way. even the samurai knew that

  • @BruceAmongMortals the idea of fighting like a samurai didn't come about until the 20th century, and by then the samurai were a thing of the past and the samurai still living just went with it like in the early days of film the studios would have "old west cowboys" on the set and the're the reason for all the scewed historical notions we had about that time. Are you gonna say oh well i being the honorible man walked out and even though my opponent didn't have a sword i gave him mine.

  • @BruceAmongMortals Or the truth he didn't have a sword so i gutted him right there. war is about survival not puffed up imagened values, the samurai first and formost were human beings, the samurai ideal was the exception not the rule.

  • @toxi87 im talking about the samurai fighting style... the way they weild their weapons etc.

  • @BruceAmongMortals well the jujutsu was ok but you have to remeber it was made for entertainment to a largely western audiance most of who know next to nothing of budo, but i see your original point. i do have to say the actors did ok.

  • it is So American with they';re accents and music=)

    Where are the Real Samurais?

  • Is this a documentary or a movie? Sure beats anything I get from cable.

  • what is the samura`s folding fan for?are they using it as a weapon?

  • @GsxRaider its a symbol of "Im the Strategist" or "im in total command"

  • @Castian77 hi Castian,i`m very intereted in japanese culture, i learned a lot from you, thank you very much!

  • @GsxRaider you like games GsxRaider?

because theres a pretty fun way to learn, as i did, play Shogun Total war 2, Samurai Warrior and Nobunaga's Ambition, whatever doubts you have by then Google its your best friend, i advise u join a Japanese Forum of general culture like Senkaku Complex, it has it all, common news, anime, games, chitchat, and its a Japaneese web but Enlish speaking only, its like a project.

Chineese culture its also fascinating check Romance of the three kingdoms era

  • @GsxRaider Shogun total war 2 its for PC

Nobunaga's ambition iron triangle its te best one and its for PS2

  • samurais speaking Engrish!

  • HIDEAKI BANZAI!!!!

  • これすごすぎる

  • The TV series Shogun takes place before this battle and tells a tale of a British sailor, who becomes an ally of Lord Toranada (Tokugawa)

  • Well... i beated them both on legendary ;)

  • @Jaeger2011 Beat the game on Legendary as Tokugawa then we'll talk.=p

  • Lol yari ashigarus :D

  • why are they speaking English?! :P

  • @DonCorleone87 Engrish

  • @FUwogs shamfur derfeat!

  • @DonCorleone87 its an alternate universe

in that universe u go ` then add_money 40000 and ur rich

  • is this a movie?

if it is whats the title ? thnx

  • @aceofclubs1998 its just a history channel documentary

  • @victinhoemn thnx

  • im the 168,000 veiwer!!!!

  • what happened at nagashino?nobunaga`s muskets decimated ieyasu`s tropp was`nt it?did ieyasu died in there ? someone pls?

  • @GsxRaider nagashino its confusing better wiki it and decide 4 yourself

nobunaga's muskets pretty much pwnd Tokugawa's "Forest" and "mountain" divisions (heavy infantry and armored cavalry), but his army was faaaar more numerous than that

and nope, Iyeasu Tokugawa united Japan, ending the Warring states era and some years later the Sengoku era

check well the Japanese names in the credits of Jap movies, u still can see Tokugawa, Honda, and even Hojo or Fuma names in there

  • english Language sucks ......... would be better on japaneese

  • @AHDDADV no 1 knows japanese bitch ,,, english is a universal language ,,

  • @TheJazzyStone "no1 knows japanese" what about the...Japanese?

  • @jamsbruno1 japanese knows everything !!!

  • @TheJazzyStone spanish is way complex, big and important than basic and easy english

  • @AHDDADV in*

  • @AHDDADV Indeed, man... English does not transmit the force and the spirit of the speech as Japanese does. I don't know Japanese, except for a few words, but... I always prefer things in their original language.

  • I only looked this up because of Shogun 2 total war lol

  • @inospeakenglay you should be ashamed. True fans found this from the time of Shogun TW, 10 years ago. It's ok if you're 9 :)

  • @colodius Fuck you, i never said i was a true fan so shut the fuck up, its not even that great of a game you internet warrior. And what did anything i say gave you the right to call me 9 years old? Are you retarded? Did i tell you i was still in elementary school? No? ok shut up you retard. Im sorry if your too poor to play the newer version, however im not, and i'd rather prefer to be on the newer shits. But keep living in the past buddy.

  • @inospeakenglay I looked this up because Samurai's are bad ass, and because of the game :D Btw nice reply you gave the guy who called you a 9 year old. Not saying you are

  • @gotokill2 Thanks, i didnt even remember typing that up, but now that i look back i tore him a new asshole lol.

  • why is tokugawa's banners are red??

  • @DarthMual1000 Li's banners are red, Ii Naomasa was a general in service of Ieyasu. Li's samurai were called the red devils.

  • 7 people must be from the western army

  • a good video but I was wondering why they didn't speak in Japanese and have subtitles?

  • cool

  • 6 people are Ronins

  • @AlmightyMacky 7 now.

  • why did he fire the idiyake's team?

  • @hafizmuar

His purpose was to threaten Hideaki.

Ieyasu implied like "If you are not on our side, you know how you will be. I never forgive you (even after this war)."

    by firing on Hideaki.

Ieyasu was famous as a smart and powerful commander at that time and everybody were afraid of him.

  • @traveleroflife if Hideaki still wavered, Ieyasu's cannos would destory his unit

  • @puchy110

No. As you can see on the movie, Hideaki's troops were the important factor to decide the winner of Sekigahara.

If Ieyasu try to destroy all of Hideaki forces , he have to fight against Hideaki and Mitsunari's forces at once with only his own military, which is not good plan to win.

Ieyasu's intention was to make Hideaki be on his side to defeat Mitsunari forces.

  • @traveleroflife I mean if Hideaki still stayed on his hill, Hideaki didn't want to fight for Mitsunari, u know

  • @traveleroflife who is mitsunari sir?was he an allied of nobunaga? and who is actually hideaki that hesitates whhom to support? sir?someone?

  • @GsxRaider Nobunaga and hideyoshi is all dead before this. This is the battle between clans supporting tokugawa and mitsunari. Hideaki is supposed to help mitsunari , but he turn against him and he decided to flank mitsunari instead , causing the final victory of Tokugawa clan and its supporters. Hence the future shogunate was decided.

  • @hootu my question is why did hideaki supported the tokugawas instead of the ishida?the reason is still mystery for me~_~

  • @GsxRaider Hideaki was insulted and mistreated by Mitsunari till he was its Vassal, of course the chance to avenge such insults was one only and only one way to do it, Sekigahara.

    in other words...

Hideaki went in a Berseker Rant

  • @Castian77 thank you!

  • @Castian77 Hideaki is a coward.

  • @shyfly825 normally, yes pretty much, but think this;

he had a Dynasty name to uphold, he was the third most numerous and powerful faction, both East and West's Fate wa in its hands, by one choice....

will he be remembered by a low vassal who helped Mitsunari conquer japan

or be remembered by Betraying its lord and "rescue" japan from Tyrany

either choice was Wrong and Right, he was there just.... thinking about it

Iyeasu didint force him to ally, he forced him to Choose and he did.

    yet a pussy.

  • @Castian77 in what console is that shogun total war 2 and nobunaga`s ambition?is that for ps2 or ps3?i used to play the samurai warriors but i just played it and skiped the movies and events.

  • @GsxRaider its for pc

  • @GsxRaider First it was Nobunaga taking over japan, but slayed in the Honno-ji incident by Mitsuhide Akechi, then Hideoshi Hashiba take over since he was a nobunaga's retainer, but yet again slayed, by Iyeasu Tokuwawa's forces and the rest of Nobunaga's and Hydeoshi's remnants, Mitsunari Ishida took leadership

So by Nobunaga time he was a noob

by hydeoshi's he was a decent strategist

    then overlord of te West

yet again pwnd by Tokugawa in Sekigahara

  • Curse you Kobayakawa!

  • @joaocarvalhos ....turning against your entire clan.. you will regret this. I remember that Dialogue from SW2

  • 04:49 rapid advance xD

  • Which documentary is this from?

  • Go Tadeyoshi hooah

  • where i can get thi documental? its nice!

  • @william91pr truly facinating

  • its funny how people just watch this video because its about the game they are playing.........truly stop playing Call of Duties and other Fiction games that will not benefit you, games like the Total War Series will inform you many things about History and Culture and Religion...........Call of Duty nowadays are sh*t and just a Fiction, the old CoD which are about WW2 are much better because i can learn from it and enjoy.

  • I believe it was Mitsunari's messenger at 7:17 that set him off. Apparently, to show honor, a messenger had to dismount, approach the daimyo or general and bow before delivering the message. It was dishonorfull to do otherwise, and I guess that's why Hideaki sided with Tokugawa rather than Mitsunari.

  • 10:10 look at the man... he slip hahahha...... . . fall at the ground LOL hahaha

  • the last samurai..watch that movie its great...

  • SHOGUN 2 TOTAL WAR!

  • @millionhera22 Just pre oredered it xD

  • Hell yeah!! your right!

  • @millionhera22

I love Japanese history but LMAO!

  • How come in Shogun 2 demo they let us play as the losing side again? And where are the cannons in the game? the only firearms I see are the ones from Tokugawa...

  • the outfits is awesome

  • I like the history of Japan more than the history of my own country...

  • @pharoah246 i thought i was the only one lol :D

  • Looking forward to Total War: Shogun 2. Absolutley awesome.

  • You know, this video isn't about Romans. Nobody who is watching this wants to know about how powerful the Romans were right now, they want to learn about Sekigahara.

  • @xfantasyinyoureyes yes because u speak for everyone stfu and sit down facist pig

  • @DJsharp707

    Learn to spell.

  • @xfantasyinyoureyes obvious once the dumbass has been proven he must resort to the most common thing that can insult me, my INTERNET FUCKING GRAMMAR wich is not from a pencil from a fucking keyboard u sir fail epically b4 i "learn to spell" u learn to beat someone verbally. pwned

  • @DJsharp707 I'm not looking to beat someone verbally. and if you haven't noticed, love, I'm not a "sir." Now go and grow up, then come to me.

  • @xfantasyinyoureyes Not to mention by 1600, the Romans were long gone.

  • Total War: Shogun 2 is out!

It has a free demo of the Battle of Sekihagara.

    Enjoy!!

  • @thiangcw Yup, and it is really good. I've played the entire Total War series, starting with the first Shogun, and it keeps getting better. I've adored Japanese feudal history since reading Lone Wolf and Cub as a kid, and I can tell you, that Assembly captures the era well. If you watch closely, in the mass of human engagement, you will see individual samurai face off...god I love it.
