it's a great original song re-done perfectly for Tool's style it's a matter of which style you prefer not being a big zepplin fan (although I recognize their talent) I prefer Tool's version and I think they took their own style and did this right by them. It doesn't matter which you prefer anyhow because they're both incredible

retep0000 i disagree. i think maynard and tool NAILED THIS SONG! i like it better than the original. i maintain to this day that Tool, since Zep, is the greatest gathering of 4 musicians we've ever seen. and Maynard is sooooo much better a vocalist than Plant. the only vocalist better than Maynard is Mercury. in my humble opinion.

@ashurdom I'm gonna have to disagree with you I'm afraid. The original and the live versions of no quarter by Zep are unbeatable. Where's the wicked solo? Why the severe modification of the use of the riff? I just don't rate it as the epicness of Zeppelin, and there is no way this guy is better than Plant in his prime. Plant was born with an amazing voice that could really wail. This guy can definitely sing, but lacks the epic natural ability Plant had.

Also, it's fucking Led Zeppelin! Get real.

@Scotch7000 Good call. I do agree with taking certain privileges with a cover, if you have the skill (Tool clearly does). I just love the Zep live version so much it's hard to beat for me.

However, as a Tool fan, I'm betting this is just how you'd like the song. Tt would have the innate Tool-ness built into it as this is how they play.

I have yet to give Tool the time they deserve, just felt like being a Zep fan there. haha
