Jesus Christ came and died for you and me on the cross, he so loved the world that he gave his only son to die on that cross. I you want to accept him in your heart then all you have to do is accept him as your personal Lord and saviour all you have to do is say; Lord I know that I have sinned against you but I have now heard of your son and accept his gift that he brought on the cross. I pray that you write my name in the book of life. Amen You have now been saved.
@josuelitos Another tip...always mow more slowly than you think you need to, as it's better for the grass, and the little critters will have a better chance to escape a gruesome fate... and toes too, for that matter. Owie! :0(
@KazmRaps only twice wow uhmmm idk what to say and its hard to keep a business going cuz most people have lawn mowers and can do it better than you im 15 and ya just cant start but you do need experience
Edging with an metal blade, NO NO, to edge like a professional you need to use the same trimmer for edging and trimming. I can mow edge trim and blow at 4 times the speed of this guy.....
Actually, that's a big misconception. You don't need to mow in different directions so that the grass grows straight up. the grass will grow, as do all plants, in the direction of the sun. Mowing in different directions simply limits the indentations the wheels leave on the grass.
The season is getting closer so I did a youtube search on lawn services. I was going to do a video like this and still plan to. I do agree with what you are saying but down here in Dallas I don't do it that way. It's about time, money and heat. I want to get done. We are doing everything at once. But for the homeowner who wants to do it correctly this is a good guide. Thanks for the video.
its just a sidewalk edger..echo maybe or redmax. giter is 100% correct, time is money. i am the owner of Curb Appeal. never once have we cut yards 4 different ways. i prefer not to have my customers homes looking funky. If i knew how to load movies i would show how to really mow like a pro.
they are. this guy is not a pro. you first cut. always, then trim. edging is like sidewalks and driveways, u more/less dig them out. then trimming is around flower beds and such
all you gotta do is make sure there are no patches of un-mowed grass. If the lawn is completely flat and there are no patches, then that means you did a good job.
@platypusernumber2 well im 12 and i make 15 bucks a yard i just mow lawns i like to use bagged movers to prevent clumping but any thing works it just depends what u got
@platypusernumber2 drop the handle down by modifying the metal bar and drilling a new hole for his height. This way he can get more control and better leverage with his body.
Also, remove the front two standard wheels and replace them with caster wheels that you can buy at homedepot for about $4 each, this way it will be safer and lighter, he won't get as tired having to lift the mower constantly and he'll be more driven to mow the lawn regularly since it won't be so arduous a task.
@platypusernumber2 if your trying to make money... go for $10... i just got a preferred customer today... at least $10 a week... if your talking about mowing... watch this series...
@platypusernumber2 I started mowing at 10. I went door to door around my home town, and I ended up with dozens of jobs. Many, especially elderly folks, also hired me to weed their gardens and do all kinds of other odd job. I let them pay me whatever they saw fit, and I always did my best, most thorough work, regardless. Some couldn't afford to give me much, but others paid me enough to more than compensate for that. They all kept me through the winters too, to shovel walkways/driveways. :0)
@platypusernumber2 Most of them used my services for many years, and provided me with a very positive and loyal reference base and networking grid (not to mention many wonderful gifts...like fresh-baked cookies!). My main point is, do not despise the day of small beginnings. Do whatever your hand finds to do, and do it honestly and whole-heartedly, and you will have good success. Best wishes!
he is wrong, first you trim, mow then edge fist trim, them mow so that the mower picks the clipping around the fence, then edge last so that the edge is not ruind by the mower, then blow. i should know i mow lawns jajajaja
I put up signs in all of the local businesses. (grocery store, all of the gas stations, library.) Cut tabs in the bottom with your name and phone number so people can take a tab and have your information. (about 10 tabs) Then, ask the people that you mow for now to tell their friends that you are available. A great idea is, with permission put up a sign in the yards you mow that says your name on it and phone number so others know who mows it. It is great advertising. I am now 15 with 7 lawns.
OMG. this is my 1st comment..... this guy has no idea what he's doing. first he has a 60$ homelite blower second he keeps on talking about WE but i just see him on a 20$ lawn by himself. TIP don't go that deep on your edges. it will make weeds take over your NICE lawn.

Always clean up by blowing off the cement just before leaving the site, after the mowers are loaded.
snnnoopy 2 years ago
Please, people, it takes a little common sense. Spring and fall if the grass is long (more than 3 inches) you will need to trim first as not to leave long peices of grass around the foundation and obsticals. If you do leave long peices simply remow around the foundation preferably using a bag. If there are leaves on the ground, blow first so that you can pick up the leaves with a bagger. Same goes for edging. Mid summer you rarely have any of these problems though.
