You guys are failing to recognize the fact that Conor is popular because of Conor. I'm a big fan of Dondero and Joyner too but it doesn't matter if Conor copied his style, he still is successful because of his great lyrics and songs. His style or not. Basically you are in turn saying that every rock band from the past 40 years copied Elvis.

yeah the influence is there i just don't think he's crossed the line to imitation. the style of the songs are different.i don't think connor has come out just trying to be david dondero or simon joyner. he's bringing much more of himself into it, just writing it off as imitation just doesnt hold.

but if it wasn't for bright eyes i might not know about david dondero. if it wasn't for the team love site i might not have known about shit loads of amazing bands i listen to now. so thats a better way to look at it for me.

well conor did rip it off.... but he threw it on a different style of folk.... a complete different style... and conor knows he ripped him off, thats probly why he n mogis helped him out with that amazing album "The Transient" .. wow im the first comment on this is one whole year, david needs more fans.

conor is great....but i am almost 100% that he ripped off Dondero's signature warbel.
i mean...there's a thin line between influence and pure imitation.
has conor crossed it?
either way...'tis a shame that Dondero isn't as big as he should be.
