This is pretty cool. I like when people have fun with shit like this. I would never in my life watch a WW(?) match yet I would gladly spend a few dollars to watch a show like this. Video has been liked due to the cool costumes and the great, 8-bit cover of Carmina Burana.
i just cleaned out my room that i havent lived in since 2005.... man o man do i have too much kaiju shit. posters, stickers, pins, shirts... this shit was so much fun to see live. a shout out to the dudes who ran the street team stuff and hooked me and my friends up so much promotional stuff. punk rock and roll.
they came to NYC some years ago and I was in contact with a dave or a john. they agreed to talk to me about letting me try out. i even had a really cool costume based on the sentai/kaiju shows from 1970s japan. they didnt let me in cause i was too big. WTF 6'1, 210 lbs is too big? they were fucking scared because I didnt have insurance and they were afraid I would toss around their lighter guys like dolls. well shit, i know judo. i know how to make sure how to not hurt ppl etc.
because you dont get a nonpaying job that you want, you have to lash out on the creators? i know the both of them, we even let some of the actors stay overnight in my house before the recording of something at a farm down the street, and i can assure you, they had to have had a reason to not let you in. you cant just assume things based off of your own physical status.
I mean no offense, but can you really blame them? No matter how well you know Judo, accidents can happen. This actually improves my opinion of KBB, because it shows that they are considerate of actor safety and liability.
