strat is viable but you have to scout for early harass and respond with a bunker to be safe. also, combined with a stim ground army the reactor starport transitions well into medivacs. i went 3-1 trying this strat.

some newbie tips: hot key 2 units and JUST select them blazingly fast. selecting counts as action. easy to keep APM over 300.

pro tip: get a decent operating system and increase Your keyboard repeat rate to gazillion times per second, select CC and just hold S.

Why is it important to spam and get your APM up early game? Even with spectators. Who cares? I mean why go into something showing everyone your full potential right out the gate? Intimidation? But only when they watch the replay. However deception, making yourself appear weaker then you actually are so opponents underestimate you? That to me seems far more advantageous.

So is there any purpose to APM besides inflating your numbers for the hell of it at the start of the game?

i could see that, now that i look back on the scan and what buildings could have been switched for reactors / tech labs.

I may not know my terran very well, (although i have seen every GSL vid :O), but i still think the video would still be better if the game was viewed in replay form after the game ended to show your response to what was going on; Psy could've explained how you were preparing for a marine/tank push... etc. scouting is crucial tho against... any TvT build really.

i used to do mass viking against zerg and it worked pretty well cuz i would just wall in with a bunker or 2 then murder all of their overlords because queens dont do enough dps and after that harass zerg is way behind and its easy to mass a standard army and win

@bros4toss nah hydras a little higher DPS (~14 for hydras, 12 for vikings) and one more range with the upgrade (actually, maybe the same. i can't remember)

vikings do pwn hydras if in the same numbers but they're 50% more expensive on both gas and minerals, and get pwned by stalkers, marauders (specially) and anything that deals extra damage to armored.

they're fun to use but not really that good, more so after you consider you could get more marauders than vikings with that money

I'm not so sure. A viking costs 150 / 75, and 4.5 marines can easily kill a viking using stim. In your case he had some helions and not enough marines, and im not sure but did he use stim?, it seemed like a good player could have had twice that many marines , used stim and killed your vikings easily.
