  • He speaks in poetry. What a brilliant mind.

  • the last min and a half is filthy. props to old larry king for holdin it down in the face of a elevated and evolved talent. And whats to say about Brand? absolute fucking talent 100% brillant and unique individual. Ending this unique moment in film with " Its a paradox, i live in a world of plasticity and synthesis, and yet theres some authenticity". bravo mate

Its unbelivable that what he says flows freely

  • insanity is an aberration from normality... if this world that we live in where money and power are things to stride to, and humanity, erudition and poetry are considered insane, I choose to abandon it, this normality which is obviously insane,

  • bookie wook 2.....we'll be right back

  • Very interesting interview, hes a likeable guy.

  • Comment removed

  • "A DUCHESS!"

I should start greeting people this way, shouting what they are in their face.

  • haha 7.16! Love Russell and katy

  • russel makes everyone around him seem dim

  • "She was so posh it was indecipherable!"

  • honestly russel brand is the realest person in show biz right now. i find larry king calling him insane a bit offensive after singing happy birthday to him. he misunderstands him. russel is just a geniuonely caring person who just wanted to show his happiness for his birthday. also he can see beauty in the simple things in life.

  • @heyitshorse He means insane in a good way.

  • Larry is so like... awkward.

  • thanks to post it

An high piece of art... truly INSANE so ADDICTIVE.... WE NEED MORE PEOPLE LIKE RUSSELL BRAND..

    LARRY....go home.....please....

  • Larry did not have fun with russel in this interview. the word association that russell was putting out was not cool. way to suggestive. he hypnotisised larry by the end of it.

  • @IntEngT I think you're talking about yourself, not Larry. So little self awareness.

  • So sweet!

  • Totally impressive stream of conciousness.

    F'ing funny too.

  • this almost made me feel like crying, it was so sweet at the end.

  • the guys a genius.

  • hahaha Larry had fun with Russell

  • i love how larry's so tickled. it's really sweet.

  • the soudn is utterly shit

  • ha, i like that he's getting the crew audibly cracked up. "You are the first... TRULY insane person I've interviewed" hahaha

  • ha, i like that he's getting the crew audibly cracked up.

  • you can tell hes bi-polar by the way he behaves. i love him though

  • 1 Leicester Square was not stupid, it was fucking brilliant Russell, the height of the days before you sold out Albion.

  • I love Russell. I love how sincerely entertained Larry was. That's one thing I live about Russell's interviews. And for Rusty's fans, we already know he's insane. That's why we love him.

On another not, no one does his hair like Nicola and since Russ has been living in Los Feliz, his hair has suffered. I suspect that Nicola isn't doing his hair all the time anymore. Because his roots aren't lifted and it looks flat on top.

  • i think the insane claim is a bit much. i do feel, however, that russell seems genuinely authentic. he seems like a great person, and hilarious to boot!

  • Lol,"I think cus it was stupid" ,kept it 100

  • Is it me, or does Larry King sound just like Dr Zoidberg in this interview?

  • @freezerbabies not just you!

  • The funniest thing about all Russell Brand interviews is that all the comment sections are full of people trying to sound like him, with big words and run-on sentences. It's fascinating, hah!

Thanks for posting though - he's a true entertainer <3

  • That was quite entertaining. Thanks for sharing.

  • Larry had a great time here

  • "to look a little like rasputin."

only russell brand would ever have thought of that. WIN.

  • I don't know if insane sums him up, but it can't be argued that his mind seems to function differently to most people, but in a suprising and positive way. Don't think he's capable of giving a bad interview.

  • that was awesome

  • yeah, definately too much talk on a pop singer who sings about california girls being undeniable when such an elaborate soul was being interviewed.

  • Thanks for posting! :)

  • thank you for posting mate

  • Russell Brand is emerging as a fine spiritual leader. It is indeed a paradox that a man of such truth and beauty can exist amidst the vacuous, dead, tyranny of show business in america. As violence, poverty and exploitation increases unabated and natural resources begin to dwindle from reckless, mindless overconsumption, the world needs truth more than ever in history. The world is truly priviledged to have such a creative man with an ability to see through illusion with his piercing clarity.

  • @greenschnitzel Ah yes, Russell has gotten so savvy and just keeps getting better since he fled the dinky UK for the center of the entertainment world in the U.S.

  • @vampyros1 Hmm. Very American of you.

  • @Triplesod Hmmm. Very 'UK' of you.

  • @Triplesod lol yeah "you people using big words - you should be ashamed of yourselves. i can't even understand what you're saying." what's the limit on words, two sylables? 3 vowels? lul

  • @CheStillFighting Hehe. Yeah, Know what you mean, mate. Funny how people will act awestruck or disdainful about someone who uses a few words they don't recognise. I mean, it's not as if Brand or anyone has been born with their vocabulary, people need to learn and this is the perfect opportunity! Instead of bragging about their vocabulary being little more than grunts and swearing, why don't they - when they hear a new word from Brand (or anyone) - simply open a new tab and check the dictionary?

  • Actually, though CSF, I was replying to the American feller and his/her very American patronising and condescending description of Britain and OTT description of the US, "dinky UK", "centre of entertainment World, US". Also suggesting he "fled" the UK. I mean, as much as you might hear idiot, hatemongering right wing British cretins, or mindless kids who repeat what they hear without knowing anything about it, people don't exactlt "flee" the UK, do they? It aint occupied Poland! ;-)

  • Quite a coincidence. Only today I was speaking to someone about the amazing differences between the average Canadian (as I see you are) and the average American. I've never heard or could imagine hearing a Canuck speak so dismissively about another country, while being so blindly patriotic about their own (I can't deny the US actually IS the centre of entertainment, of course). For two countries that share such similar culture, background and social history while being neighbours [cont..]

  • Just like WWII, which Americans love ignorantly speaking of. I'm sure you've heard the US catchphrases "we saved your ass!!", "you'd be speaking German if....", etc said to Brits plenty of times? Funny thing is, though the US was a vital help in the fight, even before they joined, they didn't "save us", though we were saved. We were saved by the Indians, Jamaicans and especially the Aussies and Canadians! Yet I've never heard a Canadian go on about saving us or us owing them. Dignity! [cont..]

  • No, I think Canadians have too much respect and understanding of what we all went through, for that. They were also there by our side from day 1, which I think many young Americans have a chip on their shoulders about. I think it's partly why (as well as them being great people) Brits have so much love for the Canucks and tend to dismiss Americans. Yes we are grateful to them but we don't need constantly reminding that they fought with (not for) us. We shouldn't need to have to thank them daily!

  • Ha! Well that was a strange, very off topic post! Just something I thought about today. Pls don't get me wrong though. I think Americans are generally great, I just wish they'd drop the obnoxiousness, the arrogance and ignorance, though I'm sure that's just a minority of idiots. Sadly, their idiots shout louder than our idiots, so are noticed more.

So, hehe, anyway. After that (bloody 'ell! bet I come across as one of those weird WWII nuts now!:-)...

    All the best, mate.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • Russell Brand, you are the best!! I have endless love and admiration for him.

  • his face at 7:26 is halarious

  • Oh Larry King is just jealous of the wonderful Russel Brand. I love him (Russel not Larry).

  • Thank you so much for posting this! Enjoyed it so much. Russell Brand is wonderful!

  • What a brilliant mind, there truly is something authentically wild and alluring about a man who is undomesticated. Russell Brand is magically charming.

  • wow, wow, wow, whenever i start losing faith in russell something like this comes along and re-ignites my love. not too sure about larry's conclusion.

  • brilliant

  • Awww, the part when he congritulates Larry King was adorable!!!

  • I loved this so much! Larry King LOVES him. This was adorable and so much fun!

  • Thank you so much for posting!!

  • @lisajean1

    cheers

  • great interview. thanks so much for posting it. i missed it on friday because i had no idea it happened until it was too late. i really like russell. i wish larry didn't spend half the interview asking about katy. i dont have anything against her, but it's russell i want to hear about.

  • Thanks a million! I wasn't able to record it due to a cable problem, and was nearly inconsolable when I missed it! Now I can watch it thanks to you. :)

  • @hazel72

    cheers.

  • ive said it before thank you. the interview is amazing.
