I am running this program as I type and it's obvious they speeded up this intro. The photo I am working on has been processing for over an hour. Granted I used a large format photo so I expected a long time so I will see how the final result looks...if it ever completes. I do really like all of the plug-ins they offer and use several. It's fun guys...just plain fun.

For those with chronic insomnia, $39.95 is a gift--about 1/2 the price of Ambien CR. On the other hand, not every one is born with artistic talent, does not like photographs, and is not going to  commission an artist to translate a photo to canvass.

Totally useless, unless you can paint your own masterpiece. Just watching it take a photo and change it is nice eye -candy, but what good is it really? What satisfaction can you derive from this...watching a computer program slooooooooooly change a photo. And the movement of the mouse is nothing more than telling the program to speed up the process in the areas that it hovers over. Hell, I got bored from watching the videos, why would I want to pay for something that puts me to sleep?

artguy2133: It's as well for people who aren't capable of using regular software, like photoshop or similar, to get these results as experienced users who need quick results (for simple assembling of backgrounds, concepts.. you name it). If you need to get a first look on how a picture you plan to paint with similar methods might look like, would you go through all the work manually (taking way more time) if there's a handy program like this doing it in a few minutes?

wow! this software is great! I agree with purpchin65, anyone can buy the software. Am too going to buy this soon. But it's gonna need an ultra fine and massive printer to do the end job. I guess some wouldn't mind printing on a bubble-jet or an ink-jet printer either. hehehe...

This looks like a winner- now the only problem is that if you want to print, frame, and hang these paintings it's going to cost you an arm and a leg. The $40 is the inexpensive part of this process.

This ingenious and brilliant software is ushering in the dawn of a renaissance in computer art! I downloaded the trial version and it works exactly as shown in the video! I finally have a true painting of my African lovebirds that I can print to canvas in raised wax dye sublimination (on a Xerox wax-color printer) and frame! I'm definitely purchasing this software. Best software investment for under $50!

Very impressive!

I have downloaded the trial software and am painting my own photos as I type. It's looks amazingly real and is so easy to do.

I own Corel Painter X as well, but this is so much better in my opinion. Has that authentic painterly look and feel to it.

Well done and look forward to more program updates in the future.
