  • lol my name is also corrina XD only with double rr instead of double n :P

  • I was named after Ray Peterson's version as well! Great song. Great name.

  • I also named my daughter Corrina after Ray's version. It drives here crazy when I play it...so I do..lol

  • This song was originally recorded by an artist named Ray Peterson in 1960. Great song!!

  • @SherrySever your off a few years, first recorded in 1928 by Bo Chatmon

  • @SherrySever This was recorded long before Ray Peterson did it by Bob Will and his Texas Playboys...in the early 40's I think.

  • Does anyone know which artist or band is that sang this song in the late 60's or 70's? The song was a faster tempo like this one, and was played a lot on the rock stations. Thanks if you know!

  • Great song to do the swing to.

  • Cartwright fam "BONANZA" I LOVE IT ,THIS VERSION VERY HooooooT, I LOVE CORINA ,BLA BLA

  • It's great to hear such an inspirational group sing this song, makes me love my name even more, haha.

  • @codymitchell75839, thank you!!! @Wirlbirdy, yeah!

  • This reminds me not to step in the puke and tobacco spit on the floor.

  • geez, usually like B & D, but this one just isn't my cup of tea...

  • @evensout ya got no zydeco in you

  • One of the few unmistakeable voices left in country music....Ronnie Dunn. Don't have to wonder who's singing a song when you hear him.

  • Went to iTunes to buy this version for an upcoming dance performance and couldn't find it. Where can I get this?

btw, I agree, Taj Mahal does a great version of this old classic, but this version is nice and boppy, good for dancing!

  • @Parawi13 This is credited to Asleep At the Wheel. Brooks and Dunn are just on vocals. Btw, Taj Mahal's version isn't that good. This is a great version, but Muddy Waters version is the best out there.

  • @Parawi13 makes you wont to dance alnight.

  • OMG, that is a terrible version of this song! You should listen to Taj Mahal's version of this song! This was never intended to be a country song! Just like " 6 days on the road" sounds terrible when the original version is up against Taj's!

  • I beg to differ, AZRacer2000. This song was first recorded in 1928 by a country blues band, and for the most part has remained a country song. I've heard Taj Mahal's version---and I really, really don't like it. I don't even consider it the same song.

  • @AZRacer2000 WHo the HELL is Taj Mahal?? The ONLY Taj Mahal that I know OR CARE ABOUT is the Taj Mahal in India.

  • I am also named after this song.. mom liked it by one artist and my dad liked it by another. as for old verions I like Ray Petersons... But MY fav version is this one by Brooks and dunn

  • This is a great version for the swing!

  • Goodness gracious, they sexed up the lyrics! It's got a good beat, but I still prefer Ray Peterson's version, the one I grew up with.

  • One of the few country songs I like. It's about my baby girl! Not bad at all.

  • Well, I can't argue with that! ;-) I'll see if I can switch 'em out when I have a moment.

  • No, daveheel, those are the actors in "Bonanza". No good reason for using the photo other than Bonanza is my favorite show, and I've got tons of photos from that--and I was too lazy to hunt down something more appropriate for the song! Got any suggestions?

  • oh, bonanza. got the 2 confused.

any pic of brooks & dunn would make more sense to me. ;-)

  • aren't those the actors in "gunsmoke"? why did you use that photo?

  • My namesake song as well! I've never heard this version before! I was named after the one by Bill Haley and the Comets did, although my parents spelled it like the Bob Dylan Freewheelin' version. ^_~

  • Ray Peterson's version rules.

  • @sharx35 However This Brooks and Dunne version KICKS MIGHTY BIG ASS, too!!!!!!!

  • i like Brooks and Dunns version but i like Dean Martins version of this song better =)

  • I have the CD in my collection. It's a CD called "Asleep at the Wheel Tribute to the Music of Bob Wills". Artists on this CD are Chet Atkins, Suzy Bogguss, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Vince Gill and a plethora of other folks. Hope that helped you :) Enjoy!!!!

  • what year is it from

  • Yeah, I've been hunting for it on cd ever since she found it online, with no luck.

  • I'm not sure which Brooks&Dunn album it comes from. My sister downloaded it for me.

  • i was wondering because i have every cd

  • where is this version from - never heard this befor

  • Again, I have the CD in my collection. It is called, "Asleep At The Wheel Tribute to the Music of Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys" The year of publication is 1993, and the label it is on is Liberty Records. Hope that helps.

  • Stevienickssss....got your email. You can buy the CD online, or go to your local Walmart...it's there.
