People think the episodes make the movie connect... I think CC ran out of good ideas and rehashed old work. It was an alright film, but the only scene I really like was when the Skinman showed up. Here's hoping we get a good colonization film for 2012!

Love the black and white scene you made at 00:38 because it looks like a classic 1940s crime movie when everyone used to smoke. Classy and smooth and without a doubt a classic show!

@rysio5o The fact that they didn't marry doesn't mean they don't love each other, Mulder was on the run, a paper would just call unwanted attention, they could not, but also maybe they were just happy the way it was. Now why they were looking for separte truths: to prove that even when they were not together, they still had one thing in common: " both of them wanted to believe" Scully that she could save Christian aka Will and Mulder that he could save the girl aka Samantha.

About the chemistry, I guess this is a personal experience, as for me I have as many others many issues with this movie, I hate the dialogues on it... they are shallow and the execution is poor, the case is weak and I'd love to see them also investigating together as always, but it left for me no doubts M&S are in love and still love each other.

could I say this? this video is so amazing than the original trailer. between FTF and IWTB I prefer FTF! IWTB didn't make me followed them through the movie. but... I still believe that there are something hide behind this movie and I finally found it ^^ I'm getting older with Mulder-Scully. their relationship are more than love 'cause love is not enough. I believe that.... if you, I mean all of you! are Scully, you can't live with Mulder more than 3 days!

I really think William is the reason why it sucked. Now their life is soo empty and sad, they seemed like they didn't like each other as much as before. They were cold and I think it's because of William gone. For some people kids make people happy at that age and now it's their fault for giving him away. I think Sculy and Mulder would've kept him but it's CC's decision. Which I think sucks!!! That's why I like XF the series. I like FTF too but not IWTB.

Thanks. I watched the DVD this weekend. I liked it. I'm kinda disappointed that reviews weren't so kind. I don't think fans loved it either. I like it but mostly because there was some focus on Mulder and Scully's relationship.

I did not like that Scully seemed so sad though out the movie. Scully sad makes me sad.

But can you tell me, why for example in the movie when Scully was in soothsayer, he said that mulder is her husband, but she denied firmly. Why? And why they were separately looking for truth? Why they are not the marriage? Why we didnt see great chemistry and love knowing from small screen? I'm really sad :(

@rysio5o Hi rysio5o, the way I see it about when she says: "he is not my husband" was not a way to dismiss Mulder or say she didn't love him, it was a way to dismiss father Joe implying "you know nothing about me with your psychicabilities", but also a way to admit she was not officially married and would not make people believe she is, maybe even feeling a tiny bit of guilt for not being married ( since she was a practicing catholic and this would contradict her faith)....

I am sitting here feeling quite emotional, even a little chocked up and just bowled over how you've managed to make a movie I didn't like much and was very disappointed in have resonance for me, and that you've given me a new perspective on. Not only that, but how it really perfectly ties in to the series arc as well, which I had just simply not appreciated.

Thanks for your wonderful words, I am glad that the video brought you some perspective over IWTB. As for feeling disappointed, I guess most fans did feel some level of disappointment. I did too, I think the path the writers chose for those characters was not necessarily untrue, but it was hard to love. M&S as nonpartners,  searching their truths separately was not what most of us wanted to see, but I also think that looking hard one can find layers on this movie that lead us to the old days

YellowBee-You have such creative XF vids and I have loved your 'insight' videos and the incredible way you portray the show....what was great about IWTB was that it did draw back on the series itself..that continual tension..between faith and science..between the pursuit of knowledge and the yearning for belief in something bigger than ourselves...and ultimately between mulder and scully and the incredible love and bond they shared..

Aside from the fact that this video is so beautifully made, and I love it (Thanks!) ! ;) ...

... I never did conform to Scully believing in God. It just doesn't suit this character at all. So in my little universe, she doesn't! Maybe it's because I consider myself an Atheist, but well, I'm feeling better thinking she doesn't hold a believe in a higher power.

thx for ur comment, but I disagree. The beauty and irony of XF is that with the science that scully relies and trusts and pursues so dilligently--in the midst of that she had a belief in God. This shows that the two were never meant to be mutually exclusive-But can very much go hand in hand. What we saw over the course of XF, was scully's struggle for faith in God, and belief in Him. Faith was deeply ingrained in her, but for all of us who believe in God--there is a struggle for faith, at times

ya, I know that this was the intention of CC and it does make sense in a way. But still, compared to the knowledge she has about the scientific world and the paranormal one, it's absurd, that in certain cases she bases almost everything on her faith. Why throw her knowledge away? I just don't get it.

But well, as I said before, it's probably because I do not believe and consider other things much more interesting and important (e.g. Donnie Pfaster beeing a HUMAN "monster").

I think both of you have some reason on what you both say... persoanally I like the contrast between faith and science and her struggle to believe, even when her science contradicts all the rest, but I also agree with you Katuinn that some of the approuches were a bit too much...but in general I enjoy this aspect of her character.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Answering your question: Yes, I did adjust the ratio from the teatrical version so that it would fit my computer's widescreen ...coincidentally youtube also went 16:9 and it is accepting higher resolutions. So if you adjust the ratio and render the video in 16:9 in a high enough resolution, I think I am using something like 750 x 408 it should cover the whole screen.
