It kills me, the irony. If he had ignored the dread like Padme suggested, none of this would've happened. Yes, he probably would've been stripped of his title as a jedi knight, but he and Padme would've been together with their children.

@inubaka13 The only reason he turned to the Dark side was because he felt she was going to die. In trying to save Padme, he killed her. I'm sure he never meant to do it purposely. I guess it goes to show how far we'll go for the ones we love....even turning completely evil. I mean, what would you do if you're loved one was about to die and you felt like there was something you could do?

I think Padme still loved Anakin......even if he was on the Dark side. It wasn't Anakin's fault he turned to the Dark side. He was meant to turn to the Dark side because he was the Chosen One to bring balance to the Force. To bring balance he had to turn to the Dark side. You can't bring balance to the Force if you stay on one side. But then again, I still wish it was a diff scenario for him turning to the Dark side instead of his wife being endangered.

@littleminto Well I mean no one really can... she died during child birth, but in the movie the medical robots tell obi-won kenobi and yoda that "she has lost the will to live" so she kind of died from broken heart, but mostly just casue she coulnd't carry on without Anakin, and the child birth.

I remember when I saw ROTS for the first time I was much younger and didn't understand most of the things that were going on in the movie, but when I saw Anakin and Padme together everything made sense. By the end of the movie I was numb and shocked. I didn't feel right for like 3 months after watching him destroy everything that was important in his life.

I love Anakin SO MUCH. And the actor in the second two prequels. Ahhhhh. Anakin = love. I can see exactly what Padme sees in him. ... and I would go on but there are too many flowery words involved. So I will just think it.

They're so adorable! Padme is such a strong woman. She's really the equal of Anakin and I love that. It still makes me so sad that their story has to end that way. I really wish the prequels didn't have to be strictly prequels because I'm such a sucker for happy endings and I just hate the choking scene and how Anakin ends up... you know, physically.
