  • nice tribute to Dave Hope, the "quitter" we don't need him anyway, why quit this band KANSAS when they finally hit their stride, go figure, some fuckers, I'll never understand.

  • Too bad most peeps only know Cows and ditw...............don't know what they're missing !

  • Amazing Performance

    Thanks for sharing

  • You're welcome.

  • Love the song, love the band, LOVE THE VOICE!

But Steve, it's "SMELL of perfumed ladies FILLS", not "SMELL of perfumed ladies FILL". :-)

  • C'mon dude! Really?

  • Great seeing these guys again! Dave hope shows that 4 strings is alll that's needed!

  • Cool!! Too bad there´s no video with it... Great Steve Walsh song!

  • Heroic post Dude - thank you! (from Kansas fan in London)

  • You're welcome! Have you seen the fairly recent post of "Lonely Street" from a 1993 show where they insert a little Led Zeppelin in the middle? Go to my upload section and scroll down to about the 6th entry. It's pretty cool!

  • man...not many folks are making music like this anymore!

  • my favourite band ever... thx guys ..u made me play guitar

  • i dont understand why people always have change so much like hope and livgren.

i want to say i like my music and that is not a reason to change my work.

  • this steve he was so hot this days

  • the pic at 5:36 is awesome !!...it still blows me away that these 6 guys could put together some of the the most amazing music ever !!!

  • It is a very early shot of the band(1975)which can be found in the booklet that comes with the remastered "Song For America" CD. There is a bonus track on that CD of "Down The Road" from what I consider to be the best live recorded concert of Kansas ever. July 7,1975 at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio. I've posted the version of this song "Lonely Street" from that show as well. It was a bonus track on the American release of "Live At The Whiskey.

  • I wonder of Steve ever had a wardrobe malfunction in those shorts And are there pics??LOL...Hmm..wonder how much a fan would pay for the iconic gold cross he wore....

  • Right On Bro. Ricky On, You Will Always... !

  • Never ever saw these pictures !

    The source ? lol.

  • No, believe it or not my Father-In- Law clued me in to a free program that allows me to pull an individual shot from a collage of pictures. I've always had these shots but couldn't use them until now! I'm sure "The Source" has an incredible amount of pictures but chooses not to share that stuff!

  • great song!

  • It sure is! How have you been Justin?

  • Nice job, Rick. Great pics and a very cool live song :-)

    Michael.

  • Thanks Michael, how's school so far this year?

  • School is ok so far. Getting average grades in most subjects, you know. My autumn vacation is starting tomorrow. Really needing it... lol :-)

  • Nice, rickyon!

  • Thanks!

  • Man his voice was so pure back then.

  • Hey Phil, that's why I like posting these early concerts! I have to admit ,what first drew me to Kansas was the violin, keys and guitars but soon realized that the vocalist was the best that I'd ever heard. I've always said that from '74-'81 there wasn't a better singer on the planet!!

  • David Pack was also very good.

Can you imagine what A,Wilson from Heart would have been like in Kansas .

    The counter voice parts !

  • This performance is the bombdiggity. I've never heard Steve scream so much, but I thought it was cool.

PS: one week from today man, just one more week.

  • Hey Paul, You've seen the 3 other posts of this song here haven't you? He screams on all of them. (in a good way of course!)
