Here !!! My son showed it to me ! I bought this beast about a year ago
Now and I love it !!! I drag a 53' drop furniture van and with the sidetrack steering and the dump able spread axle i able to get into almost every area that I need too !! This thing is truly amazing and my and I really enjoy it !!
@johnsnyder341 Great! I always liked to sell the T6. That specific truck seemed to make the most sense for the household guy with a crew? But, you were probably lucky to pick it up, there were bunch ahead of you. In the months before I retired, between Max and I we probably had a dozen or more household guys / gals we just couldn't get done..! not for the lack of trying. but finance was tight the business slowdown & all... hard to get financing, a good time to pass the baton.
@ifxtisoy69 I retired a little more than a year ago so my information on truck pricing is dated. Because of new exhaust emmision technologies new diesel truck prices were rising dramatically as I retired. My guess $135,000 +/- depending on content.
@jellydounut171 the longer the distance between the centerline of the tractors rear drive axle and the center line of the trailers axles - the larger the required turn radius.
If it is registered as a private coach or as a RV,no cdl is needed, air brakes or not.A lot of truck pullers use trucks like this as well as monster truck haulers, they are not used in interstate commerce,so registered as a private coach or rv negates the need for a cdl.
@52hogan - Yes, by simply going to your local license bureau and buying a RV tag AND requesting a GVW (gross vehicle weight) of less than 26,000 lbs. This is a very big deal as it backdoors anyone with a valid drivers license into legally driving the truck - normally it takes mounds of schooling, time, testing & hassle to get a CDL. (Commercial Drivers License)... not required when driving a truck plated as an RV, but you will be limited to RV type driving - nothing commercial.
@stayingman -I don't think that will work. I'm not positive but I think you would still need to get a commercial drivers license because the vehicle has air brakes.
@kennjohnsen - One of the reasons people buy trucks like this one, for example; a parent(s) with school age child or children and the need to educate the child. Some parent/truckers have used the so called "home school" option and have bought trucks like this one to give the family room. ...typically, a bad mistake because in providing all this family space for this well meaning family, sometimes, the truck becomes heavy or cumbersome to pay for itself , house all and earn a living, too.
@HalomasterA69 - Both ARI and Indiana Custom Trucks have produced sleepers that make this one seem short. In my experience, neither let the truck brand you choose get in the way of a sale.
Here in Spain where i work and Europe we´re lucky if we have room to fuckin stand up in a truck, we could do with some of these beasts here..keep on truckin men
@bonnevillessei U think u could afford this truck hauling produce? A friend of mine owns something similar to this but its a Volvo and uses it strictly to pull his toy box when he go's road racing.
If this rig weighs in a 27,700lbs with 1/4 tanks of fuel, what's the gross tractor weight with full tanks of fuel? How big are ya fuel tanks on this Kenworth T-600 beast?
@bionictrucker1 - 300 gallons so add 1500 lbs + for fuel. Very limited hauling choices to put this one to work. Household (van line owner ops) is a place because they normally dont gross out and they often run with a crew. the 339 inch wheelbase is a problem in the neighborhoods... but I have a few long W9's in household - some with drom boxes. somehow they always figure out a way.
@yoshihawv - I assume you meant to refer to the front axle - and you are correct as the nominal weight on the front of this one will be in the middle 13's. The front axle and related components on this one are rated at least 14,200. While some states limit the front axle weight to 12,000 lbs for intra state hauling... they can not limit inter state commerce so the federal rules apply. Meanwhile a zero setting on the rear king pin placement transfers no weight to the front.
@stayingman I'm a firefighter 2 days a week and the other 5 days a week I own an provide a Heavy Wrecker service, I drive an 07 Pete 378 38" sleeper, 50 ton with a 3 stage recovery boom.. I'd like to take advantage of this buyers market to expand my business potential to provide a transport service for high value merch/auto's. I'm a graffiti artist if that's what you saw, but as for credibility my daily driver is a 2008 Cadillac CTS. I'm not the type to blow smoke up anyones ass. :)
@ModeraterX -well, in any case, a 100 might be little light... but, i catch your drift. over the years i have/had several fire fighter customers, they've all been successful... trucking is as tough an industry as there is, but it seems to work for firefighters. i had a guy in Detroit - owned 5 or so -ran long - produce - i think he had a tough time of it... I have a Fire Fighter Captain - out of Ohio... runs a couple but more regional - van and dump trailers. seems to do fairly well.
Wow - cool seeing my truck on

Can you pull a 53 foot trailer with this one, I have read that the max lenght is 74,75 foot.
Greeting, and thanks from Denmark.
kennjohnsen 7 months ago
@kennjohnsen - I never had a customer who claimed a problem. Some states may enforce a length rule on state highways though.

We have been asking about 130k and had several serious deals that didn't quite make it. Financing is a little tougher these days.
