  • the problen with a lot of the electronic music today is its edgy for no particular reason and it lacks the melody and pretiness of a song such as this

  • I had this on a 45 rpm and wore it out! Good memories and good times. Thanks for sharing this song...

  • we need more selections of El Chicano like Colores which should be dedicated to all the brown skins bro's n ladies doing time in the pinche lock up

  • I remember this song as a kid in elementary school. Great song! This was a time when life was so much simpler, people were friendlier, and were trusting of each other. Nice video!

  • Glad to see the guys back together again after all these years(our cousin Is Mickey Lesprone ,lead guitar and vocals ) Money and contract disputes caused the breakup....I believe the band would have surpassed Santana.. El Chicanos sound is unique!.I hope they one day achieve their well deserved Grammy!

  • I just opened up for them in concert last night. When they played this song.....the sounded EXACTLY TO THE MAX like the recording!!! They were great

  • The chicos hit #40 in Billboard, 12-22-73. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • I'm a proud CHICANO man, who wonders y beautiful women change when "you tell her u love her"! And not only telling her she's lovely. That by my actions?

  • I LOVE THIS!! give me more!! thank you for sharing

  • I saw this band perform live and they were fantastic in person!☺

  • :) great one!

  • great chillin music. they dont make tunes like this anymore though

  • El Chicano is very cool ... sounds like a mix of Santana and Chigago ...

  • I haven't heard this song in probably 20 years. Why in the world won't they play this on the radio?? Beautiful music.

  • @coashddjj2 Time to start a "real good" oldies radio station!

  • @YouMuseMe There are some "real good oldies" stations on the Internet. Radioio has a great 70's pop station that will play songs like this. As far as finding some good stations on FM radio, it's not going to happen. They only care about advertisers and ratings so they rely on their "tried and true" formulas for radio success. It's why radio is so crummy these days.

  • @YouMuseMe I was listening to an oldies-formatted AM station (WKCW 1420 Warrenton VA) which streams live and they played this song the other night!

  • I finally found the artists who do this song. Love this jam.

  • MY RESPECTS TO (MICHEAL LESPRON) YOUR GRANDPA BABY ....SINCERLY.....BUT THE TRUE FACTS ARE AINT NOBODY CAN TAKE CARLOS SANTANA...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RECOGNIZE!!!! AND THEN WE GUN LEAVE IT ALONE!

  • thats rite ! The guitarist (Michel Lesrpon) Thats my grandpa !

He takes out santana any day :)

Love you papa ! El Chicano lives on!

  • @DOZEE420

    .

.Santana`s been playing the same lick for 30 years now

  • For starters, listen to those guitar harmonies -- Carlos Santana was nowhere near that on his first album (I was 16 in 1970) it had much more jazz pop/latin credibility since I was starting on guitar......"People want to....." Listen to that tritone modulation there, light years ahead of most pop at the time. And the bass line just defies words and could'nt be any tighter.

  • El Chicano music came to Malaysia way back in 1970. It was competitive when compared to Santana

  • @eddyyusri1396 i loooove santana <3

  • @eddyyusri1396 i loooove santana <3

  • these were the good old days in sanjose,ca.Imoved to cal;if from ogden, utah used to throw concerts at the fairgrounds.I remember booking these guys for a gig with the latin allstars,Pete escobedo was playing percussion.I remember meeting his little daughter Sheilas who is now Sheila E.She got up and played with here dad must have been 5 yrs old.whata show.I will never forget it.Thank you for the great memories. i must of fell in love 365 times that year.Great year for Music

  • I'm 59 and I had the privilege of growing with this beautiful music. Thank you Lord.

  • coming from an 18 year old chicano. This shit iz amazing. today's chicano rap needs to take sum lessons and listen to this type of shit. example, lil rob, mr. Sancho, MC Magic. Learn from ya roots. that's y most black people r good at rapping, because they know there roots. thats y alot of chicanos arent good at rapping. Bcuz they dont know there roots. History lesson right here. EL CHICANO

  • @jeffw1267 The Classics always do bad at first. Payola, uniqueness, But The Classics never go away, Number 40. Forever. Just like" Always And Forever " Number 12 Forever.
