umm well they actually can in the game. you get an achirvement/badge for blowing up earth and the rest of the solar system.. the badge is called "Oh, the Humanity!" pretty ironic for the reason for the achievement... love this vid!

Yeah, it's a good thing that alien races can only sell planet busters and not use them.

they can still be a pain in the butt none-the-less. Sometimes I'd rather them blow up my planet then having to deal with every alert that is sent my way.
