I bought GT5 back when it came out. I've since sold my PS3 because I'm more of an xbox gamer and didn't really use my PS3 other for GT5. But after playing Forza4 I have to admit GT5 was a much better simulation game. Especially when using the racing wheels. Forza doesn't seem to use the racing wheels to their fullest as GT5 did. Plus the single player races give you no challenge at all. The difficulty is set up for beginners even in the hardest settings.
@wastnTIMEwastnTIME If you are enjoying Gt5 more than Forza, than say it. Me I never had a chance to drive in GT5, only once with a gamepad. What is this feeling with gt5? Try for example any of modern ferraris in forza and then with gt and describe please. Is it more difficult or easier (wichever or whatever). I am really intrested, to me forza feels allright. I saw lot of videos of cars crashing, loosing control and it looks normal to me like in forza now (after patch).
@UKOGjonboy Very good. But! Take attention on how fast this new wheel loses strength of force feedback. I have old PWTS. After 10 minutes of playing, FF in wheel drops significantly. Fanatec says that this is for protection, that motors inside can get very hot. OK, but I didn't know that when I bought it. I really enjoy new patch + 100% FF . You can really feel the road and grip and how far you can go. But it lasts only for 10 minutes. and after that FF drops.
@Bakteyo I just found out they dropped a patch for forza4 the other day. I haven't tried Forza4 with the patch. I've been playing way too much Skyrim as of late :-D
But I'm planing on getting back my PS3 and GT5 and really test them both out to see which feels more realistic to me. But strait out of the box I'd give the nod to GT5. I'll try Forza after the patch and see if it gains ground. But GT5 in single player by far is way more challenging than Forza4. Races are easy in Forza4.
Thanks for showing this, Jonboy. I reckon i'll stick with normal shifting since to me it feels like cheating when I want to play the game as a simulation game. Plus it sounds very unnatural to me, shifting with ACL that is.
