  • i loved this battle section

  • lots of important part of the story is missing. the events are not clear

  • i honestly dont believe that zhuge liang made the winds change in favor of wu-shu. still, this battle was pretty badass. full-out battlefield on the waters.

  • @jvt95 I'll explain to you, it was just a kinda custom to make prayers to the gods before doing anything but the truth was that he alrd knew that during that particular time of the year the wind would blow in that very direction. His victory is thanks to his knowledge of that area.

  • 还是大陆的三国剧好,演员造型都遵循历史,角色选材合适,历史记载程昱长八尺余,虎须髯,这里也基本符合

  • yeah, why is he kongming in the movie>?

  • Thats his secondary name in chinese. Like Guan Yu, he has a secondary name too, and it is YunChang

  • I have just 1 question. and would love it if someone could answer it. why is Zhuge Liang called KongMing in the movie?

  • kong ming was his other name

the name given to him when he "came of age"

  • secondary name, go to wiki and check

  • @kennyman5498 诸葛亮 字孔明

    可以称之为诸葛孔明或者孔明.他号称卧龙先生.

  • Chinese fire drill!

  • why this film's Zhou Yu is so bad attitude? totally different from red clift that act by Tony Leung...

  • according to RoTK zhou yu has always been a narrow-minded commander. although brilliant, he often let his jealousy of others take over his thinking.

zhuge liang, knowing this fact, angered him thrice and eventually caused zhou yu's death. since john woo's red cliff wasn't an adaptation of RoTK, i would suppose making tony leung and takeshi kaneshiro good friends would make for better viewing. makes for less questions after the movie too.

  • who's the leader and guy being executed at the beginning?

  • The leader is Zhou Yu and the guy being executed is Cai Mao's reletive.

  • Cai He to be exact

  • Just visited the web site of the upcoming new series. The pictures looks fantastic. Must be a hit!

  • what website, I want to see. I also heard of this new seires

  • Use google search, copy and paste these chinese letters: 新三国演义官网. The first link is it.

  • cant wait til they remake the series heard itll be out nxt yr ^_^

  • where? When? How?

  • eh its on wikipedia so its no gaurantee lol but they said it'll be out sometime next year

  • China is making a new three Kingdom series

  • only China?

  • this is the best.

  • Comment removed

  • no thats what im telling u hey dude can u put in like episode 1 etc..

  • hey titan do u have the rest of the episode???

  • Did u watch all 3 parts?

  • Hi titan are you able to upload the whole series if dynastywarriors999 doesn't make a comeback? He got banned twice already (from uploading some other stuff, not rotk) & i haven't heard any word from him. sigh.

  • watch the movie red cliff and red cliff 2 beacuse it is way better than this. no offense though

  • I already watched them both, & unfortunately nothing great, but that's my opinion.

  • Is there an episode with elephants and a Yunnan, or Kunming tribe warlord and his queen? I watched it so long ago and I want to see it again. If you have it could you post it? Thanks sooo much.

  • I already posted it. :) The clip title is "Sixth Capture of Meng Huo".

  • which is cao caos army?!

  • Comes out in January. However, this TV series still deserves respect b/c it went through the WHOLE NOVEL!

  • red cliff movie is shit

  • the zhou yu here looks way different from the one who acted in the red cliff movie...

  • lol why'd he kill the subordinate at 5:08?

  • According to the book, the guy that got killed is named Cai Zhong, one of the officers Cao Cao sent over to Wu to fake surrender. Gan Ning at first made him lead the army deep into Cao Cao's camp, then slain him once the army is in.

  • Man, that's gangsta lol.

  • Then why did the movie subtitles say he's "Cai He"?

  • he surrended to cao cao so he could set cao cao's camp on fire and killed one of the enemy's men

  • 80s drama :D i love it

  • 90s

  • lol thats sad,the time when it was in Japanese subs i knew what they were talking about, even tho i cant speak Japanese.

  • that was chinese sub

  • yea i messed up there,i still cant speak the language and yet i knew what they were talkin about.

  • Lol that dude was snitching on Hwang Gai! lol what a rat

  • he would have gotten his arse killed in china

  • wat happened to the english subtitles near the middle.

  • ็ำHe tell Cao Cao if they are grain boats they must be slow than that boats

  • o thanks

  • oops, ur right i forgot that part

  • wow, that sucks wu helps shu and then stabs them in the back to kill guan yu

  • You ever read three kingdoms ? Shu betrayed Wu first, Shu stole the Jing province while Wu was the one who spent all the resources, in order to honor the alliance Wu waited TEN YEARS for Liu Bei to find another base and then return Jing, (that was the deal) ..yet then they refused to return it and to the wound Guan Yu insulted Sun Quan ...he finally had enough of it and captured Guan Yu and YES ..rightfully so executed him.

  • You sound liked you leaned and favor toward Wu more...I however support Shu, the Han. Zhuge Liang was justify in taking the lands from Wu. For he was brilliant in devising a plan to take the 'ancestorial' land in which 'Liu Bang' originally settled on when Xiang Yu exiled him toward the South East region. Plus, Liu Bei was a fool, he didn't accept the offer from his cousin to take over and rule the land, he instead being modest, didn't wan't to usurp power.

  • Zhuge Liang was a brilliant strategist no dounbt, however intelligence doesn't justify stealing. What you describe is Shu's justification (which is nothing more than excuses) to stealing Jing. Why didn't Shu spent its resources and armies to fight Wei on their own ? Wu was the one who spent all the resources required to defeat a million man army not Shu. It was Wu soldiers who sacrificed their lives, not Shu.

  • He was doing what he could because his top priority was the advancement of Shu.

  • I agree with you, even historians agree that Liu Bei was nothing but a military expenditionist, not an emperor or a great ruler.

Thanks to "Romance Of Three Kingdoms",his name was known to us as the ruler of the Shu.With ROTK,Liu Bei will continue being an unknown military expenditionist(don't know if I spelt wrong here).

  • Zhuge Liang saw and felt the need for an firm establishment and settlement of land inorder to create and build his dynasty upon. There was no choice but borrow Wu's military might to push back Cao Cao's advancing forces, in thus freeing Cao Cao's control over the land across the river. Zhuge Liang here used a classic tactic called, "1 bird hitting two stones." He borrowed Wu's might to push back Cao Caos army and gained substanable land for his master's dynasty.

  • Again you are failing to justify the fact they stole Jing, you are just telling me why they did it, I know why they did it, i also know they stole it :)

You mentioned here that the province of Jing was a domain of Han, well let me ask you this, if this so called "Han" was still the justified ruler of the land, then why was Liu Bei fighting Han's prime minister ? and defying the very empire he is swearign to protect ? (to be continue)

  • well...according to the heavily slanted book, Cao Cao was a traitor who plotted his way into the prime ministership and coerced the emperor into following his "evil" deeds.

  • In war, there is no right or wrong, no good or bad. Simply, the smartest gain the upper hand. Shu stands just and firm on the decision to take this land from Wu. Hahaha...after everything happened, Zhou Yu realized that he and his nation Wu got used and manipluated by Zhuge Liang. That's why he wanted to kill Zhuge Liang, to foresight, he knew Zhuge Liang was a cunning man beyond man. He even got more angry to the point where he died from it after realizing that he and Wu

  • Liu Bei claims Cao Cao is a traitor to the Han so he is justifying himself to fight against the Han Imperial Army and to steal and take over the lands of Han in the name of Han. That is justified, Wu rightfully taking the Jing province would have been "betraying Han" ? oh please ...

Also i know what war is, and i know about your philosophy as there is no right or wrong in war, that wasn't the question nor the discussion, i said Shu stole Jing, thus why Wu was justified to kill Guan Yu...

  • did all the fighting and didn't gain but lost more than effort put into the war effort. There is a poem chinese describing Zhou Yu's mind state when he was sick, and laying on the chair, facing toward Zhuge's Liang diretion and sighning that if Zhuge Liang is not killed off, then there will be more trouble for Wu. Haha...foolish Zhou Yu.

  • That wasn't Zhou Yu's dying words, thats what he said to Lu Su when he told him he wanted to do away with Kongming, his dying words were "Heavens, after creating me, did you have to create Zhuge Liang too?"

btw have you ever read anything about the 2 kingdoms plan ?

  • This is not of John Woo's movie version right?

  • yes,it`s the chinese tv`show on last centery in 80s.

  • zhou yu looks like he rules with tyranny lol

  • Brilliant strategy ever

  • Woah Ancient Chinese Cruise Missles

  • Titan9999 thank you .. keep up the good work

  • wow, thats the ancient missiles.

  • lol I love Chinese history!

    Love it!

  • love the classic!

  • The Battle of Chibi will live in history as one of the greatest naval battles of all time. Even if the numbers involved were inflated, as was common in the period, it was still an incredible outcome.

  • But let us never forget those who died there... Yes, they were traitors, but they were all men, and many of them were drafted.

Though the heroes of Shu and Wu will never be forgotten for their brave deeds, those who died should not be disrespected or forgotten either.

  • lolwut

  • @Revolution177 Calm down.

  • HEY EVERYONE i heard they are making a movie about this epic battle :O go wiki it

  • they should have gone to the alter to stop zhuge liang calling on the winds

  • hehe... like in Dynasty Warriors? ;)

  • there were people protecting him while he was calling the winds

  • nah you equip a red hare saddle and run through them...duh

  • who is that guy the one who wanted the presioner to beheaded and who is that other guy who told Cao Cao to wait and what is he saying lol?

  • The guy who order Cai He to be beheaded is Zhou Yu, commander of East Wu military. The guy who told Cao Cao not to let Huang Guai's ships pass is Chen Yu, one of Cao Cao's advisors. He told Cao Cao that it's most likely a trap because Huang Guai wrote in his letter to Cao Cao that he would bring some provisions (food, army supplies etc) over but all his ships are very light and float on the water. He also said that if they use fire attack with the southeast wind, Cao Cao would be at great risk.

  • Awesome man you know your stuff.thanks for the info by the way did you buy on DVD and it came with english sub or that something you had to add it?

  • The DVDs came with English sub, along with Chinese subs. :)

  • aw man so freakin awesome! i think im really going to buy this.
