Exactly, there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. Some people do not know where to draw the line though. Conscrutive criticism is not insulting someone and it is not a personal attack on someones character. Here is a prime example of conscructive criticism, "Pink lipstick looks nice on you. However, you might want to try other colors AS WELL (I am not yelling, I capitalized to emphasize those words) in addition to what you already have" I do not mean in replace of.
I would love to get your opinion. Whenever I get my make-up done by an artist, they always do it totally different than I do. And I tend to not like how they do it. So I always wonder if mine it too extreme or who knows?I'll be sending pics. Thanks

Sounds like a really good idea and it would be awesome if you could pick, of course different parts of the face but also pick a few different eye shapes etc. I'm so bad at explanations but I hope you understand what I mean.
I often have trouble applying my eye makeup because my eyelidspace up to my crease is so small so when I put my basic color on my lid and then start shading in the crease, it always turns out that my base color is barely visible in the end x.x...

i think thats a great idea. i was thinking maybe do some how to videos if u r interested in doing that. especially how to apply eyeliner properly. mine usually smudges or just looks kinda sloppy and also tricks to puttin on eyeshadows. mine never looks as good as the videos i see. just an idea. i love watching how to videos and learning new tricks. thanks so much. i think its great that you share your tricks and looks. it really helps i love makeup but dont know the best way to apply it
great idea. i think if you do a constructive criticism videos they should have some type of theme like blending, foundation and etc. that way you could help other makeup lovers who make the same mistakes. can't wait to see these videos :)

I NEVER comment on videos, but I'm making and exception for you. Can I just say that I am in love with your channel. I know that there are a ton of people on YouTube that do makeup tutorials (far too many in my opinion, but that could just be me) but you are perhaps the most helpful. You always make sure to explain not just how but WHY you do things a certain way, which helps people take tips and apply them other places. when your makeup "ocd" you WANT to make it perfect YOU WANT to make it look nice.

LOL...a few months ago I tried using my bff's daughter for a series I was TRYING to start on childrens pageant makeup.She is 6 so it took FOREVER and she talked through the whole thing...FAIL!! :0(
I think this is a fantastic idea. It's always nice to know what "professional" people think b/c a lot of us interested in makeup would love to do it for a career someday. I think you're the perfect person for giving the constructive criticism as well; you have such a great attitude, and I really respect what you have to say. :)
I think that is a very cool idea. As long as it's honest, but not meant to be cruel, you know? Like you wrote, as long as it's constructive and not mean, I am all for it. Because I am for giving people tips so they can become better, but I hate it when people essentially take away people's joy when it comes to what they do - and that can happen when criticism obviously is meant to hurt.

oh my goodness this is going to be totally awsome. but yeah i know what you mean when you want to fix peoples make up. there are a few girls at my school that litterally have sploches on their eyelids for eyeliner..and it just really grinds my gears but i hold my tounge. =P

I NEVER comment on videos, but I'm making and exception for you. Can I just say that I am in love with your channel. I know that there are a ton of people on YouTube that do makeup tutorials (far too many in my opinion, but that could just be me) but you are perhaps the most helpful. You always make sure to explain not just how but WHY you do things a certain way, which helps people take tips and apply them other places. O and one more thing YOURE NOT ocd you dontunderstand how mad it makes us ocd people when someone that doesnt have ocd says that there ocd because of little things
when your makeup "ocd" you WANT to make it perfect YOU WANT to make it look nice.
But someone with real OCD doesnt want to make it perfect they HAVE to make it perfect or else they feelsomething bad is coming youway almost like anxiety and the only way to calm it is by doing what our mind tells us too ocd controls you and your life.

FYI OCD presents itself in different ways and just because it may not rule EVERY aspect of someone's life, doesn't mean that they are not afflicted with it. There are other things that Im OCD about - just because I dont share every part of my life with you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. As someone who suffers from OCD, I would really prefer that you didn't try to speak for all people with the condition. I have met MANY people with my condition who would never get mad at someone for saying they are OCD about something. Furthermore, as Risa said, you don't know her and don't know how she is using this term.
As you yourself said, this is only youtube... calm down.

I think that is a very cool idea. As long as it's honest, but not meant to be cruel, you know? Like you wrote, as long as it's constructive and not mean, I am all for it. Because I am for giving people tips so they can become better, but I hate it when people essentially take away people's joy when it comes to what they do - and that can happen when criticism obviously is meant to hurt.
So yeah. Go for it.
I probably wouldn't send anything in though. Mainly because I take criticism badly :D

It's just that I always get a little iffy about these things because I have seen some people let forth their inner bitch, so to speak, when someone just asked for advice. So did I think you'd react like that? No. I don't think I'd be subscribed to you if I had gotten that vibe :) I just felt the need to put my opinion on the matter out there :D
