From masseffect wikia: "The armor is obtained by entering the registration code for Dragon Age: Origins." I would classify that as promotional because it is promoting you to buy DAO for the armor.

It is not so. You can complete more then one mission after Legion recruitment, if you have some companions not hired, or their mission not completed. But you need to choose "We will stick to the team creation" after discovery of the Reaper and reaper IFF

Once, I recruited Tali last, after Legion and Thane, and the only penalty was that I didn't get to do her loyalty mission without the crew dying. If you get Legion last, though, you'll get a "free pass" to complete his loyalty mission without the crew biting it, as that is the order you're supposed to get him in.
