There are not "flood gates" at Lake Oroville. There is a spillway that hasn't seen water in two years. You have the wrong lake. This water goes to So Cal.
the lake looks like it half dry. am i correct? if it is, what is causing it? are they not doing something about it? Its a beautiful lake the last time i saw. what happened?

This is sad. I lived near there in the 80's and it was filled with water and so beautiful.
Is this because of the weather? Or because of politics and economics?

This video was take 2 years ago in 2008. It is now 2010 and it is WAY lower than that. The marina was almost to the bridge last fall.

I beleive it is low because they are selling all the water to southern California. Bummer!

i like to be optimistic and think it is half wet, lol. but yeah it is pretty low, great fishing though, hooked up on ten yesterday had a blast
