  • Site of the old Kennedy-King College campus on the right at 5:13. Hard to believe that it's all gone now :-(.

  • I loathe the way Com Ed plants electric poles everywhere on former and active ROWs. They did this on the old North Shore Line. So unsightly. Apparently there a couple of other places Com Ed is in legal trouble for not renewing its land leases for the ROWs. Theft was so bad east of Englewood that Conrail insisted on the elimination of the Michigan and Wabash Avenue on/off ramps in the 1980s from the Skyway. These bridges were the repelling routes to containers and goodies for the locals.

  • i know this is a stupid question but Englewood is actually Englewood Union Stations location (before they demolished it that is) .

  • Yes it is, it was demolished in 1982. I would have loved to seen Amtrak passing thru there in the late 1970's !!!
