Marty is simply da best! Great teacher, great guy and unbelieveable wit and sense of humor. Never thought of myself as a blues guy but at this point in my learning I have no interest in anything else. It's all cuz of martys teaching style. As a DJ I've been looking to spice up my mobile act. I can't wait for my first gig with the guitar as my sidekick. I've learned a lot in a year, but looking to learn even more in 2010.

E minor pentatonic blues scale:

on low e string: 0 and 3

on a string : 0, 1, 2

on d string: 0,2

on g string: 0,2,3

on b string: 0,3

on e string: 0,3

the blues notes are the first fret on the a string and the third fret on the g string. if you take out the two blues notes then you have the e minor pentatonic scale. hope that helps

I play blues in D major mostly and some of my riffs i usually play didn;t go so well with this. Great fun though, and a different look at the blues from someone obviously far more experienced than me on guitar.  I'm gonna jam to this again right now. :)
