  • 2012 Tour... Yesssss!! Another important reason for me to live...

  • haunting, every time i hear it

  • He sounds like Barry Manilow as much as Lisa Gerrard sounds like Lady Gaga.

  • @Deepdesert Ha!! Right? Funny.

  • Because Dead can dance they know " Whilst we remain in the shadows of summers long past"

  • dimensione infinito.never end dimension.beatiful.bello

  • @onecutebouncer That's funny! Someone wrote that he is a cross between Jim Morrison and Frank Sinatra, so now I always think of that, especially on The Carnival is Over. :-)

  • @GeorgianAzeri Besides, if you go down the comments you will see that my comment a year ago, "There is music, and then there is DEAD CAN DANCE!!" has gotten 88 of these 'thumbs up', but I just write whatever comes to mind when I check them out on this 'tube'. There are no words to describe their music, it is truly beyond classification. DCD forever!!

  • @GeorgianAzeri You may thrive on those 'thumbs up'--whatever that means; but, frankly: I don't give a... Needless to say DCD are above and beyond bad-ass.

  • this blows my mind, in one second i conect with my ancestors, with the story of my tribe, my race...its wonderful

  • 14 people are clueless regarding Entropy (the second law of Thermodynamics): the constant, inevitable, and ongoing transformation of the Universe and all that lies within it. The winds of change have always and will always consume the land. These 14 people remain truly endowed with the fear of flight, paralyzed.

  • excellent. i saw them around this time in London and they were amazing

  • This is not music, this is a journey, through all ages of the world, a journey through the ancient eras, this music is like the heartbeat of this planet, is the witness of its changes, this music is the life and death of all mankind, is like the very colour of humanity's soul

  • @TheXetumare True description, but that's what music is, the music of Dead Can Dance.

  • @TheXetumare

I could not say it better :) nothing to add... i listen to their journeys for about 22 years and stiill...oh you know what :)

  • @dystopianlover I'll be shit then

  • @dystopianlover There really should be an age limit or intelligence test before they let people like you comment. Really? Were you raised by pigs?

  • @dystopianlover Oh god your profile pic says it all, shouldn't you be trying to eat villagers instead of being on here?? and leave those who know an amazing group the peace to enjoy and comment about it without having to see your pathetic comments. You shrek looking bastard

  • @RipYourTongueOut

Could not have said it better.

  • I saw them on this tour. it was like a religious experience. I was jumping up and down with joy outside the Town and Country club when i finally arrived outside. A pivotal experience in my life...

  • Seriously, who disliked this?? :-S

  • Listen to this after a doob, Mind blowing!!!!

  • @procman2008 Listen to this after a tab -- life changing...

  • In case anyone is wondering his instrument is called The hurdy gurdy

  • Quite possibly the most important band most people have never heard of. Criminally underrated...

  • Severance is definitely one of Mr. Perry's finest moments. It has a very Nico like drone to it.

  • Use your Voice...Look what it can do, to me and also to you.

    Rejoice!

  • Brendan Perry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Let There & Everywhere Be Light !

Peace, Love, Music & Rainbows !

Lot of SUN & Smiles !

To All & Be Forever !

    ( : - )

  • I agree, there is music and there is DEAD CAN DANCE!

I am black and this is one of my favorite group and most black people that have listen to them love them. Started listening to them back in 1988. Their music as all music transcend race, color, religion, culture. Jewish Hollywood has done a horrible job promoting certain type of music only to certain type of ethnic group. Such a horrible group of people. Thank God for the internet.

  • @shawnkwill - Wow! You really had me, until you got to "Jewish Hollywood"

That sort of nonsense makes everything before and after it just seem like a well coated poisoned pill

  • Lo que habria dado por haber podido haver estado ahi!!!

  • That man is an Angel

  • moc dobra hudba

  • Would've been nice if they did the main drone acoustically as well

  • WOW! love this song cant get enough of it

  • this is really rare stuff! thanks for uploading!! beautifull! :D

  • perfeito!

  • oh- the voice on this man!!!! godsend.

  • He had thing for Lisa <3 she refused and kicked him out of DCD, Misery loves company he got Bald, as if thats gonna attract that fine piece of Pagan ass Lisa Gerard.

  • @gardenofarcane What?? Thay were together for years, but then were just band members. They do not hold a grudge against one another and then Lisa got married to Jack.Or had a kid with him? They get along fine with one another despite being ex-lovers! Lisa is now a born again Christian,

  • @1970michplar She is? I saw an interview with her and it sounded like she wasn't big on organized religion.

  • nice

  • He looks like Aragorn in this! :)

  • This is the kind of song that makes you stop and think for a moment. I love it. It's one of a kind.

  • I want that hurdy gurdy... I also want Brendan Perry but that will never happen..

  • wow, didn't know this tune, it´s fantastic alike all they have made!

  • Severance, The birds of leaving call to us, yet here we stand endowed with the fear of flight. Overland the winds of change consume the land, while we remain in the shadow of summers now past. When all the leaves have fallen and turned to dust, will we remain entrenched within our ways. Indifference, the plague that moves throughout this land Omen signs in the shapes of things to come. Tomorrow's child is the only child.
  • sublime !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can someone tell me, what's the name of the instrument ? - It appears at the end of this video

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody know the instrument Brendan is playing? Thanks

  • @Aethah121

Brendan is playing a hurdy gurdy. cheers.

  • What a depressing song. It didn't make my mood any better.

  • @Jejking what if it wasnt supposed to.

not all music is for fun and good mood.

  • @Jejking It makes my heart soar! It just made my day finding this.

  • @Jejking Well if you want your mood fixed try some Britney Spears...!!!!

  • @Ieronymous Yugh. You are trying to get me killed or something?

  • wicked! thanks a million!

  • Lindo. Simplesmente lindo!!!

  • This is unbelivable, magic ... thanx !

  • I didn't know Aragorn was in a band!

  • @metalchix If Aragorn was in a band he'd be in this band.

  • @Deepdesert Haahahaha I thought the same thing!

  • This is unbelivable, thank you very much

  • God's voice it is enormous. FANTASTIC

  • this was the final song they played in their '05 world tour, which was the third encore

  • DCD always puts me in the most relaxing mood..........able to create and connect with my pen and paper.

  • I think that Brendan's voice in this song is far beyond from normal world it is just like in imagination which can not be realistic, but it is, here is the prove!

  • always brilliant

  • Hits it on the head- Thanks Brendan!

  • fucking brilliant...brilliant..

this is the music of now, and of the future... and of past.

and this was from 1989 the year i graduated high school.

eat acid. expand your mind and music tastes. and ,,as always kill your telly!

  • agreed

  • I can listen to this song in any mood any environment, I luv it.

  • There is music, and then there is DEAD CAN DANCE!!

  • @KarmaNinja69

Dead can Dance has been in my heart since the first time I heard them..It was 20 yrs ago. How I did not know them before that point? I have no idea.

  • @KarmaNinja69

    AMEN!

    Can I get a HALLELLUJAH?!

  • Indifference , the plague that moves throughout this land

Omen signs in the shape of things to come.

  • focking, I only saw the last song at the concert. My train had a delay.

  • Dead Can Dance's music reminds me of so many things. It reminds me so much of the movie "Legend" with Tom Cruise. Anyone here see any connection?

  • Not for me. Music in Legend was mostly by Tangerine Dream which is all electronic music.

  • For me it was the atmosphere, for some reason it reminded me of the movie.

  • the album "an the glass handed kites" by the band Mew always reminds me of that movie

  • Sometimes real can be more amazing than movies if you have ever been to any celtic country you can feel what this tribes were like true european identity not this coca cola mcds that we see now

  • @Gamagachee Both most likely to be encountered at Renaissance festivals...

  • It's Kool how he looks like Aarogorn in this video. He also looks like Jesus in this one pic I seen once :)

  • I would give my soul to the devil for having brendan perry's voice

  • be careful with that :)

  • It's a hurdy gurdy.. it's like a keyed dulcimer with a wheel that acts as a bow. I want one.

  • does anyone know what that instrument he winds up at the end is? it sounds fantastic- out of this world!!

and yes he reminded me of aragorn aswell Gamagachee.

  • Really I only like this song and host of Seraphim butvery powerful songs.

  • Fucking amazing , like Rakim one of the best songs in the world

  • I was 18 when I heared dead can dance for the first time. It was heaven. I adored and still adore their music.

  • Listening to Dead can Dance changed my life.

  • Same for me.

  • fantastic voice...

  • Moje srdeční záležitost....Dokonalé!!!!!!

    Indián

  • What else can be said just magnifigance

  • one of my favorites of DCD

  • fantabulous!!!

  • not bad, not bad at all. good.

  • This song makes me want to cry, I imagine all the wars fought in the past, all this hate breeding amongst ourselves, and the few wise enough to know its all in vain, all of it, so foolish. This song expresses exactly how I feel about the world, our society, and humanity...

    "Severance...

the birds of leaving call to us

    yet here we stand

endowed with the fear of flight"

    "indifference...

the plague what moves throughout this land"

those two lines so eloquently put it down from dream to reality

  • vevlira ftw!!!

  • what does he mean saying "Tomorrow's child is the only child"?

  • Amazing!

  • Simply divine!!!

    Just love this guys.

  • the spirit of DCD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, beautiful close up of the hurdy gurdy he's playing. Thanks for posting this. Amazing song.

  • Ja nie wiedziałam ze on jeste taki brzydki xD

  • DCD are extraordinary.

  • This was the very first song I ever heard from DCD back in 1991. They have been one of my favorite artists ever since.

  • I agree to you totally.

They are one of the greatest Musicians ever! Totally stunning me everytime again.

  • Oh man. I love them so much.

It is absolutely amazing how... resonating their music is, both emotionally and physically. I mean how many muscians now can make you PHYSICALLY feel something.

  • im glad im not the only one who thinks this is cool!!! you all are good in my book

  • This song literally clears your mind of all ill things. It's like DCD are cleansers of the body and mind with their amazing music. I cant describe the feeling I get when I hear them play. It's like the feeling of being completely at peace.

  • yes this is amazing!

Dude's voice is perfect tone and resonance...

It's a great example of creativity and emotion

    without a lot of range....

  • if i wasn t looking at the ending, i would have thought i was hearing bagpipes (faintly)
