Im in the process of building one :) I am using the body of an olympus trip 35 and putting a Sony 14 megapixel camera into it:). The reason i choose Sony is because spares are easy to get if i ever need a new battery or what not :)

Don't panic: It's not an old original Leica! The russians created a few years ago some faked "Luftwaffen-Leicas" out of old ZORKI and FED-cameras and sold them on flea-markets. I have one of this fakes too. No rare collectors item was "destroyed" to create this really awesome modification! ;-)
