hichok.... have a question about my remington 870. for the second time now the left ejector pin jammed. not releasing the shell in the magazine??? have any comments? took it a gun smith has every mechanism replaced
hey hick quick question here my friend, do these steel targets stop the bullet from ricocheting ? i have almost 4 acres here in Connecticut, YUP A DARN BLUE STATE!! DARN LIBERAL PROGRESSIVES HERE!!;} Anyway i want to shoot my 22 , was just wondering if they kill the bullet..thanks pal and great vid's my friend
This is probably the dumbest question in history cause Im new to this, but dont the bullets ricochet and fly back at you when you are shooting steel? I would really like to set up some targets like that when I go shoot my Glock 21(my first pistol never fired yet) How to I avoid the bullets from flying back at me or my family if Im shooting metal or steel targets like that. I will be shooting new factory ammo by the way.
if you are talking about brass then yes it has happend before. On the A2 video I got smacked on the nuckel by a hot case when I was trying to get a close up.
for all the money they cost, benelli seems to jam a lot. i got a friend who had an m4 and it just FTFd all the time, apparently something obstructed a gas port, we fixed it but come on for that much money eh. i will stick with my 500 mossy
My Super 90 doesn't have any gas ports. I just took it totally apart this afternoon and cleaned it. IT seems fine. Might have been the Winchester bulk slugs I got at Walmart, though I haven't had any problems with them before.
@hickok455:04 shell failed to eject, my best friend shoots and 870 and that happens to it quite regularily actually, have and suggestions? and i shoot a mossberg 500 and have put over 1000 rounds through it and it has never had a single jam or mishap.
what kind of slugs are those?? just wondering... i use the remington slugger 1 oz out of a mossberg 590 and i get 3 inch group at 100 yds with a bead sight
have an 870tac that I also love. It patterns so well at 5-20 yards with defensive loads that I shoot it as often as I do my handguns, and probably have more fun doing it than the handguns. keep it up H, I've enjoyed the christmas week subscriptions.
I got a 100 rd box of 223, two boxes of .40 S&W, and three bulk packs of 12 gauge slugs for it. I've already used some of the slugs in this very video! ($105.00)
Thanks, but it's not that my autograph is really worth anything; I'm not exactly a celebrity. I think it was a chance for some people who had expressed interest to help out with some ammo expenses. I'll try to keep some range and video related things listed on Ebay for this reason. It's simple enough to do.
Short shucking. Thats the only reason I prefer my Winchester 1300 Speedmaster over the 870. I just let the gun do the first half of the work. Both great guns.
240 gr. RNFP. Several years ago I started buying RNFP bullets for my .44s, knowing that I would be possibly betting a Marlin 1894 lever gun at some point. They feed better in a lever gun. Of course, then I discovered that my .429 and .430 bullets would nto shoot well in my Marlin. Duh. So, I can't shoot these particular rounds in my rifle unless I want them traveling sideways.
Hello Hickock! :) Merry Christmas to you! are you aiming a little higher or poa/poi? That must be terrific to have your own range! :) Thanks for the gr8 videos.
What type of powder are you using in the 44 mag? It kinda looks like black powder there seems to be a lot of smoke. It probably came out of one of those containers that say "smokeless powder" on it. Have a Merry Christmas.
I envy you shooting steel! Hearing the audible "PING!" when you nail it must be instant gratification! Sure beats shooting paper targets at an indoor range! Merry Christmas!
Haha, for sure! Steel is so much fun, however i enjoy both types. Hickok should rent out his range to people! That would bring in some ammo cash bigtime! :P
Were the slugs in 2 3/4" or 3" shells? By they way, great shotgun there......you cannot beat a Remington 870 for reliability and power. With "slugability" you functionally can turn a shotgun into a carbine rifle.

Interesting to see that (in the first seconds of the video) you can literally see the bullet going towards the gong! Marvellous XD

Just some Winchester Foster slugs - bulk pack. I shoot a lot of slugs in my videos, so I buy them in bulk packs.

very slow moving round, you can see the bullets path just prior to impact.

you should sell a few more things with your name on it and you could buy all the ammo you would ever need, which im sure is ALOT!

I use 2400. That, combined with the bullet lube, sometimes makes quite a lot of smoke.

For security reasons, probably not. I AM very lucky, though, that our little community bank has some very, very large lock boxes in the vault.
