Giving my old MacBook 2010 to my dad and buying the 2011 MBA when it comes out. I think Mac desktops are overpriced for what they are but the laptops are truly fantastic quality. The touchpads are amazing.

If you want a real pc laptop get a thinkpad, otherwise you can go for all the other varieties their all the same including alienware. In fact alienware is the worst cause its a dell, and your paying for design that make you look like you should be back in highschool. Lol and it runs at 1000 degrees like all i7 laptop pcs. Ooooh but it comes preinstalled with steam ...lol

It charges trough the Magsafe Port ( 1:40 ), which is a charger that slides easily into space thanks to magnetism. It's very handy as it popps off easily if pulled hard or medium, to prevent the laptop from being dragged to the ground. The Magsafe port is currently used on all new Macbook models (Air, Pro and original)

Now my only issues really, is the price. I'd understand the price if it had some better hardware (for over 2000 dollars, I do expect a little more), but then again, I'm not a power user per say. A (On the outside) good looking computer is very important to me, as is the hardware. The hardware in Mac is good enough for me, but the price is a bit much (And holy shit, the price for even minor upgrades is RIDICULOUS) for lacking hardware. I wonder if the extra cost comes from how small the iMac is?

I went to the Apple store yesterday (For the first time. Amazing store!!!) and I discovered that I don't like the trackpads to much :l. I HATE how they integrated the left click into the pad (Push down on the pad to left click), the lack of "Double tap to click" and how you have to use a multi-touch gesture to right click. At the least they could of just put the right click on the right side of the track pad. I'd say that's my only issue (Trackpad).

@Titanz91 those can be modified (just go to Settings and change your trackpad settings). The laptops on display at the Apple store have the same factory default settings. When you get the MacBook you can change the left click so you don't have to push down the pad, just a simple tap will trigger left click. Right Click can also be modified (everytime you tap the lower right side of the trackpad it triggers right click). Apple employees can help you, so don't be afraid to express concerns to them

That's impossible, technology keeps growing constantly, you will eventually outgrow it, unless in the unfortunate case where one dies before being able to "outgrow" the laptop. But if you want to keep that off for a long time. Get a high end Macbook Pro after they are refreshed. Right after they are refreshed!

If you want much much better specs/features for the price and in my opinion a better OS..... buy a windows based PC (asus, hp and sony are among the best)
