I'm from Portland, and this business is easily the most recogniazble Portland business. The lines to get into either locations on any given day is just ridiculous. This particular location in this video remodeled, and now has a whole block's worth of an alley full of seating just for some donuts. It's insane.
And it's funny because the 2nd location is within about 1-1.5 miles from this one.
I remember in 10th grade my math teacher spend like 30 mins showing us these doughnuts cuz one of the kids asked my teacher about his voodoo doughnut shirt
Ooohhh. I got to get to Portland one of these days. I live in Southern California and that maple dount is enough to plan a road trip to got there. lol
you guys had the same doughnuts I had when I went there to visit my dad a few months ago. I had a bacon maple bar, which was yummy, and later I had an Old Dirty Bastard, which was just sooo good that I had to get another one. XD
@Chawman dude i've been there to that exact whole in the wall voodoo doughnut in the freezing cold and still a line haha. have since learned better to go to the bigger one with more seating. but yeah i can't believe that. what time of the day were you there?
I've heard about this place... long-ass lines and kickass donuts. Maybe one day I'll fire a gun into the air and trick everyone into running away from the store so I can get there quickly xD
my mouthhhh is wateringgg! i live there too! but its pretty far from where i live, like at least 30 min. away..... DEFINATELY worth the drive though!! soo good
I live near Portland and we had our prom close by so we stopped and I tried a grape ape and it was good! They have the best doughnuts only problem I have is parking can be a b.... Cause there us very few spots around and none are designated to them but if you are near by stop in they are so very worth it and they are open 24/7 I believe :) yummy!!!
@HidingFromYT Don't listen to him. It sounds cool on paper, but the truth of the region is that it's filthy, over populated by pan-handlers and everything is over priced. Not to mention the traffic is totally ridiculous! Go to Seattle instead.
@Chawman If you're from Portland then your reaction would make sense, I'm from neither, and I live between them. I won't be the first to say that there's half the bums in Seattle, and twice the stuff to do(aside from drinking). I will not, however, knock somebody for liking their hometown. I was in Portland last night, and Everything that I said was totally true, not to mention Voodoo was closed at 1 AM cuz they ran out of doughnuts!!!!!
@SirTaylorRyan I don't know where you're hanging out but around the lower Northeast side is about the only place you find homeless people. Do you have something against people down on their luck? Anyway, you can't even say that about the Pearl District especially. It's like there an invisible barrier on that side.
@Chawman I have nothing against people down on their luck, but I don't like when they follow me around asking for money. And I will admit that there are amazing parts of town, that cost 5 dollars an hour to park and the only spots you can find are around the lower Northeast side. I don't hate Portland, but if I were to plan a weekend away, I'd visit Pikes place, and EMP, and the ye olde curiosity shop instead of going to portland. Sort of a "Gotta fuck one, kill one, marry one" kind of thing.
@SirTaylorRyan $5 an hour to park? I don't know where you're parking, but they better be detailing your car for that much! I pay $1.40 an hour, but only in the downtown area. Park over the bridges on the East side and park for free on the streets.
Homeless don't follow me around. Maybe you have bacon in your pockets. haha.
@SirTaylorRyan haha! whenever me and my mom go to get our hair cut in downtown, she always sends me to starbucks which is a few blocks down, and im fine! im almost 14, and nobody raped me or followed me(: i guess they sense true oregonians or portlanders xD
Does anyone know if they can ship their doughnuts nationwide?
