Ut most respect for the police and Comms, i spent a night for a ride along with the police and it was the greatest night with the law id ever had. To see the bad side of NZ within the space of 4 hours is overwhelming...still makes me want to be a cop more then anything though!

I have the utmost respect for these wonderful people at comms. They would have to be the most level headed people around. Without these wonderful people, my Dad probably wouldn't be alive today. Well i think most people are very Greatfull for the 111 emergence service in new zealand. in my experince the police try very hard it's not an eazy job to do. i called 111 one time becuase of a fight going on across the road also Involved a texi driver the police responsed with in 30 seconds. at times the police are not very nice i have had runins with them all and all thank god for the police because if we didnt have them what would we do if someone was trying to kill us or Rob us

Some people are just ungrateful. I can understand that when they call the number they're in distress but it doesn't have to be in such abusive way. On the other hand, I wonder if the Police have acted upon the 64 recommendations made by the independent panel for the coms centre.

hahahaha. I know the feeling. I cant wait for the day we can make our own complaints so we dont have to speak to the operators either.

I mean what qualifactions do you need to type in a complaint yourself, instead of wasting proper emergancy services time with not quite 111 calls or complaints.

yea 2005-this happened around november 2006 so if they made changes in 05 why in late o6 its still a pain. & the indian? not being racist but fluent & understandable english should be compulsory. 4 times she said she couldnt believe us because we 'diddnt sound as if we were distressed' (how can u difine distress when each individual is different?) & she diddnt even no where WHANGAREI was after telling her calmley 3 times. So if thers any explanation for that please, explain..

ok... so.. WHY THE FUCK DID SOME OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY GET FUCKING PUNJABI IMMAGRANTS ON THE OTHER END, WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF NEWZEALAND GEOGRAPHY AND KEPT CLAIMING THAT 'IM SORRY I BELEIVE THIS IS A FAKE CALL' - when they tried to get help using the 111 service when they wer praticaly terrorised in their own home by some mad cunt smashing their door and trying to break in? To be fair, thers alot of good staff out there, but MAN it needs a good review by the government (oh wait ther to dumb)

They called the wrong number. I am an Informant, and have called 111 heaps of times, and saved lives before.

I have never once encountered a problem.

far out..... I know that civilian operator in comms (Denis Edwards) He use to be a police officer then an ambulance officer in Auckland..... He use to have black hair when I knew him though. Far out
