  • @meandtheDoctor i kno a bit abt the Tantric 'Hindu' Tara.

  • No, she isn't scary like Ma Kali. That would be Vajrayogini. Tara is a peacful diety, not a wrathful one.

  • @milascave There are some semi-wrathful forms of Tara like blue Tara, hybrid of the Bon tradition, red Tara...but yes they are not as wrathful as the form of Kali ma

  • This is so amazing.. I'm a spiritual person, but not religious, but eversince i was a Girl i knew i would have a daughter i would call Tara! And now I do! But I never knew the meaning of the name! And the bizarre thing is, my name means compassionate one aswell! Wow...

  • I love this video (one of my favorites at orkut).

Thank you very much, beautiful idea! Beautiful music.

    Dani from Brazil.

  • JAI TARA MA

  • This is a great mantra because reflects the paramita of entusiastic energy

  • this is very sweet i really mellowed listening to the sounds and gazing at the manalas

  • in complete ignorance of the Indian(Hindu)tradition, found the soundtrack corny(in the nicest possible way - no offence intended!)zany and sweet, so sincere and heartfelt and devoted, and your selection of pictures both exquisite and of quite extraordinary range.

Am only a little familiar with the Tibetan

Tara. Left me joyful and uplifted and smiling. Many thanks! Om Tare Tam Soha!

  • Is she A Hindu Devi?

  • Mother Tara exists both in Hindu and Buddha Dharma. In Hinduism she is one of the 10 wisdom devis. In Buddhism she is a bodhisattva (which is above the devas/devis in Buddhist cosmology) This video is from the Buddhist end of it. I don't know a whole lot about the Hindu Tara.

    Thanks for viewing

  • Hindu Tara looks really scary, similar/same to Kali. Jai Kali Ma!

  • @meandtheDoctor Tara is love. Tara is everywhere. Tara is the feminine embodiment of compassion, she is depicted in many ancient religions worldwide in different ways

  • you're so welcome.

    Jai Tara Ma!

  • My Protector the goodess TARA, thanks for the clip

  • I love this sis!! So Bhajan-ish and the sitar is rocking it too!!
