  • Absolutely wonderful!!!

  • I have a real love/hate relationship with people who are this talented. I love listening to them, and hate to even look at my own guitars afterward.....

My hat is off to you Andrew. You've nailed Kottke....

  • very impressive dude, great job on a very difficult tune

  • You definitely nailed Leo's style.Great sounding guitar too!

  • @greekflatpicker Thanks Yiannis. Big fan of your playing, videos, and your guitar collection.

  • Take care and keep up the good work!

  • I purchased this tab, looked at it, and am fiercely intimidated. Do you have any advice? :)

  • Excellent performance. Keep the postings coming. It's always inspiring to see that mere mortals can play some of Leo's most difficult tunes so well.....

  • Awesome stuff fella. I hit the dislike button because you make me jealous.

  • Great

  • Hi thats excellent playing of a very difficult Kottke tune, my respect and best wishes from Germany, so long Friedel

  • I remember you working on this back in the Cape Girardeau days. Glad to see it be mastered. Great work buddy.

  • Very good job Andrew....thanks for posting!

    Rgds,

    Joe Carpenter

  • wow! nice job. you really nailed it. i love the dramatic pause at the end of the first section, well done.

  • @steamonic Thank you! Yes I remember that dramatic pause. My sleeve was cutting off the circulation in my arm and I was losing control of my hand. It was a dramatic unrolling of the sleeve.

  • I didn't hear the guy scream out. Nice work

  • @CFLanger Are you referring to the "Leo Live" recording? Haha. Thanks for the comment Chris. Hope to see you again someday.

  • @andrewlardner Yes I am! That is one of favorite recordings. I love the tone and all the string noise captured on that recording. Andrew you got some serious skills, it's a nice treat to hear you play. Maybe in another workshop someday.

  • @CFLanger Yes I copied the form and one of those improvised tropes from that recording. I grew up listening to that cd. That and Hedges' "Live on the Double Planet." Probably most of the reason I play the guitar now.

  • @andrewlardner I would have to add that Arial Boundaries and One Guitar No Vocals are in my all time top 10 list. Right now I'm working hard on I Yell At Traffic. Who worked on that one?

  • @CFLanger Do you mean who did the transcription?

  • @CFLanger John and I split that one up, we each transcribed about two sections and I did the typesetting. It's a really awesome tune. I'm hoping we'll do "Room Service at the Tahiti Motel" and "Big Situation" soon to complement it. If you get hung up at all on it just send me a message and I'll be happy to help.

  • @andrewlardner IYAT is a really fun tune. It's one of my favs and it's quite a challenge. My LH is just now starting not to hurt so bad and my stamina is improving. I hope to see a video of you playing it or maybe Monopoly on a 12 sometime. I missed last summers workshop and I hope that another is planned in the future. Thank you much Andrew. See Ya' round the Tube

  • Wow! Seeing the relaxed way with which you play such a difficult piece makes one feel jealous... Hope to see more uploads in the future!

  • @bertbouw I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • Excellent performance!

Either your from another planet or you're the master himself in disguise....

  • @klarifoon This is a very high compliment that means very much to me. "Airproofing" is a monumental piece, one which I'm still trying to get all of the elements in place. Thank you so much.
