  • what do you expect with a ford?? top man & undoubtedly a genius...........

  • quite possibly his best song...love it...dark and honest..haunting background vocals.. a masterpiece.

  • 3:03 - end is the best part of this song. Listen to it when you are a bit down and you will know what I mean...

  • Bruce's best album in terms of song writing at least. It's strange that he claims it's not about his failing marriage at that time but when you listen to the lyrics of this song, it is evidently autobiographical. 'When L look at myself I don't see the man I wanted to be, Somewhere along the line I slipped off track'. Bruce said that he didn't feel like he had a full life offstage until the early 90's.

  • the hero of america, ...and those others (like me) who are not America

  • I love that syncopated, unforgatable rythm behind it all

  • fucking honey man, sad and sweet...thank you so much

  • beautiful song and great video one of his best songs in my view

  • Bruce has so much soul and emotion.

  • bruce for ever! You're the best!!!! <3

  • @roysehawks Oh yes.... Sooner or later, you can't listen to his music and NOT be touched....

Right now, I am trying to write a book...Inspired by Bruce. The first, maybe the last. Many memories I have, many things I did, are because of his music. Now once more, his music inspires me to go write this book.

  • Back in the 80's, my friend (or my gym teacher actually), gave me this book "Glory Days" .... I was supposed to give it back... But we lost sight of each other. Now I am tryng to find him, maybe give it back now... But man... it's been 20 years.... My stommack churns, just the thought finding him...

  • I recall Bruce in an interview saying he wished he could write a 'love song' as well as Elvis Costello ... and he did! Thanks for posting

  • Played this album when I was 15 years old... Loved it, sang along with a smile. Now, I'm still a fan. Now, I'm 38. Now, I sing along with tears in my eyes. I can relate to the words of each song. One step forward, two steps back... Story of my life...

  • @liztchan my friend done me a copy of this album back in the 80s, i played it a couple of times and thought no not for me, i saw bruce last year at hyde park and for some strange reason i dug this out, EVERY track is brilliant, cant get enough of it.....

  • @liztchan SAME AS ME I´VE BEEN FAN OF BRUCE JUST BEFORE TUNNEL OF LOVE AND THIS IS ONE OF FAVORITE SONGS

  • @bouganvillas Yes... he's more than just great............ brings back so many memories listening to hem now....

  • Best Bruce song ever. Love this even more than Jungleland. Just the opening second is enough to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Also, can't wait for the 6 disc DOTEOT box set!!!

  • I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BRUCE, YOU`RE GREAT BIG HUG FOR YOU, LOVE THIS SONG ONE OF MY BEST,MMMMUUUUAC

  • Absolutely love Tunnel of Love.... Bruce really opens up in that album and writes about himself and not other charaters which is why I love it more than Born to Run. This song is just too good it makes me sick.. lyrics are just amazing it pretty much describes my life right now...every line!! When I look at myself I don't see the man I wanted to be somewhere along the line I feel off track....WOW!!

  • i think this is a beautiful song perfect melody

  • I love that ballad by the great Bruce. The song made it the # 13 on the Billboard Charts early in 1988.

Thank you Sony for posting the vid in H.Q.

  • ' When I look at myself I dont see, the man I wanted to be, somewhere along the line I slipped of track'

I threw it all away Hannah, I'm sorry.....

  • This song makes me cry. It's just raw emotion, and the exact knowledge of the ups and downs of the pain of going through a break up. It hurts so much.

  • Is it just me, or does Bruce look really young in the close-up shot around 1:35? Kind of like how he looked in the photos for the Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle.

  • bellissima... non vedo l'ora di rivederlo in concerto... se possibile ogni sua canzone è ancora più intensa! sei un grande bruce!

  • Una delle + belle....una delle + emozionanti....questo ritmo rimane nel cuore !!!!!!

  • This is my favourite all time BS song...it marks a time in my life that seems to have been a hallmark...I think it is typical of alot of love lost stories.

  • Che bellaaaaa!!!!!

  • VERY GOOD********

  • Bruuuuuuuce! I saw him about 20 times on stage and had the chance to meet a couple of times. Bruce is everything about rock music. His lyrics are honnest as himself. The songs from "Tunnel of Love" are very good. Not huge fan of the production (80's...). "One Step Up" is a masterpiece ballad-song. And on the 6th day God created Springsteen...Thanks!
