  • Thank you so much for these reviews! They are short but to the point with great filming and music choices. Cheers!

  • The review seems to give an impression that Golf GTI is somehow a great deal and great performance for the price... a 34K 3 door hatchback lol is not exactly "high value"

  • @HongH 34K? The GTI starts at 23K

  • Mazdaspeed 3 ftw!

  • @zbirdmusic only if you love torque steer and an engine that can't tune bc you'll blow up your engine. FAIL

  • @matt2294 People don't blow their engines cuz of tunes these days unless they're dumb. When it was a new platform they had to work out some kinks but they got it down now. Comes with LSD stock and if you don't gun it on shitty terrain it's easily manageable @300 whp

  • @zbirdmusic Wow a whole 37 hp more!! VW's are so much easier to tune, that was my point. A stage 1 tune from APR will easily make a GTI quicker than a MS3 and can be modded far more extreme if desired. Look up 'APR gti stage 4' and let me know if a Mazda can get close to that

  • @matt2294 gti's only have 200hp... speed 3's have 265 stock, gti 0-60 6.8, speed 3 is 5.2--5.5. Try your math again. And if you wanna compare your ecu reflashed stage 1 apr, compare it to a Cobb Accessport tuned ms3 running stage 1.

  • @zbirdmusic 5.2 to 5.5!!?? get real, Edmonds review of the 2010 MS3 is a 0-60 time of 6.4 seconds. Try your math again!! My stock gti ran a 14.5 while a MS3 that was there couldn't crack 15. Probably half the drivers fault but the other half due to terrible torque steer

  • best for last

  • Try the TDI......many owners report 45-55mpg on the hwy, and with 236lb/ft of torque, I think you'll like it. Sure it cant beat a GTI on the freeway on-ramp, but trust-me, you'll like the way the torque makes this such a pleasure to drive.

  • Still with the ugly wheels

  • @GhostCell07 I agree. There should be an option for other wheels than the standard ones which I think makes the car look more like a toy.

  • @GhostCell07 you can get different wheels, go on vw.com and build the car to see for yourself

  • The 2012 refresh is excellent, can only say great things about the GTI.

  • I've got a Mk VI GTi. And it is just plain fun. What an enjoyable car to drive every single day.

  • I owned 00 VR6 GTI and 05 1.8T GTI w/ 273hp at same time.. Just couldn't adopt to front wheel drive...

  • @cata893 Always like the VR6 but from reviews it seems to be heavy and not that fast for the 30K your dropping. Your thoughts?

  • @aqwayne 34k to be exact. That thing is pricey. I was hoping it would be closer to 30k, but after hearing the reviews and then the price, killed it for me.

  • @aqwayne No, they are not fast being stock but are faster than most stock cars... Was planing to turbo it.. but than again it's only front wheel drive, traction sucks on it. Unless you go for R32 MK4 with turbo. Buy used, yes they are pricy.

Nothing beats engine sound than VR6 with Borla.. you get that VROOOM sound lol

  • OMG!! OMG!!! RED ONE!!!!

  • GTI is the only car you will ever need. Practical, refined, great fuel economy and fun to drive.

  • Please change the settings so these videos are available for playback on the iPad & iPhone.

  • I own a golf, and everything this guy says is true

  • Golf/GTI for life.

  • First!

  • @RCLSwag no one cares

  • @RCLSwag not hard to do considering your life.
