  • WILD THORNBERRYS! omg stop. i can't even. excuse me while i cry.

  • Wow...this song is really beautiful. Thanks for pasting @Bidybi

  • This music is so cool .I love this video.

  • Yes... it's true that's a Yoruba song but her Yoruba is not fluent... it's okay..... at least all the Yoruba folk tale music that modern artist fail to sing she is bringing them out. am very glad with this.

  • "Gunnugun i ku lewe, a fa sai da'rugbo?" means, "A vulture does not die young: why will I not grow to a ripe old age?" The language is Yoruba; the sentiments mean, "I am destined to succeed, because I am a lucky person".

  • Very Cool. Two Africans making great music.

  • danthe, indeed her album "Black Ivory Soul" explores the cultural and musical connections between Africa and Brazil. A connection that goes back 500 years. The band is from and the recording made in Brazil.

  • 1.49-2.05 "igun ni igun ki ku lewe ati palase adi arugbo" vultures dont die young they have been blessed to live long. wow thats deep y'all love me them yoruba sayings and proverbs

  • @lucsho1 Do you understand the words? Is it beninese? Can you post a translation?

  • @meatpackingdistrict benineses isnt a language. i believe she is singing in Yoruba.

  • I wish they would get together again!!!

  • This is best song in the world. Angelique and Dave have got to be two of the greatest voices of today and they are just heartbreakingly beautiful together....

  • song is great..Iwoya.. i think mean," come on, lets go"

    Oya means lets go

  • I like her very much.Big up AFRIKA.

  • just because we're from africa doesn't mean we can't make music from other regions of the world. her latest albums *have* been rather afro-brazilian sounding. deal with it. americans don't have the market cornered on exploring other narratives.

  • Simply perfect harmony... .

  • Anyone know what 'Iwoya' means?

  • my father told me it has something to do with a yoruba proverb meaning pretty much "you dont have to be old to be wise,a bird..etc"

  • go kidjo go u re my best i amunable to choose between you and MJ

  • Angelique Kidjo ,Africa Diva nous sommes fier de vous. God bless you

  • I like both performers alone, but the two together are just perfect. They complement each others voices so well !

  • Still Love It!

  • I liked this song in 2004.

  • lol i have to go and dig out my cd.. i used to listen to it every day. then i discovered youtube and kind of forgot my faithful cds.

  • its not afro-brazilian she's from the African country of Benin and he's South African...............

  • I guess this and Peter Gabriels' shaking the tree are two good things to come out of a Nickelodeon movie. Pure chance that I heard these songs.

  • dave's voice is perfect... and angeliques is the perfect match for him

  • her voice is perfection for me, the song Okan Bale from this album is awesome xx

  • who's the brazilian? dave?! kkkk

  • afro BRAZILIAN?

  • no pure african

  • From Black Ivory Soul, one of the alltime best albums of Afro-Brazilian music

  • Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful .. where have I been all this days?

  • Uh.........Head in the sand?
