Good song (not as good as the orginal but good for today's band) and I am glad they are still playing. It is unfortunate that over time members leave or die and the sound of the band changes. I love the original band, but the "new" band isn't too bad either. It is more like two different bands, the sound is close but nothing is ever as good as the original you heard the first time...

But let's admit it, Lady in Black without Ken Hensley is just not anywhere near what it is with Ken Hensley. Generally speaking, David Byron is without a doubt the best Heep vocalist, and anything Shaw does that Byron did is just nothing in MY ears... Heep died with Byron, in my mind what now is known as "Uriah Heep" is a tribute band with special guest Mick Box at best.

Um hier die Spekulationen zu beenden der Song wurde bereits 1971 mit dem Album Salisbury und als Single veröffentlicht. Gesungen wurde der Titel vom besten Heep-Sänger aller Zeiten David Byron, der leider bereits am 28.02.1985 viel zu früh verstorben ist. Also Ken Hensley hat den Titel damals im Original nicht gesungen. Wir wollen ja nicht, das sich der gute Dave noch im Grab umdreht.

Wir waren das Paar der 70ger Jahre und dementsprechend "verkleidet".Da wir auf der Bühne vor 5 Millionen TV Zuschauern nach 30 Jahren "Wilder Ehe" unsere Hochzeitsabsicht bekannt gegeben hatten, spielte Uriah Heep "Lady in Black" für uns.

Wir wurden von Uriah Heep dann noch auf eins ihrer Kozete eingeladen und was da backstage abging, das war echt krass.

Also: Ich finde das Auftreten der beiden Fans bei 0:32 etwas komisch. Das Lied ist gut, die Performance klasse und Bernie Shaw sowieso genial. Nur das Auftreten der zwei Folk Rocker mit ihren Pseudo-Leder-Freedom-Dress hätte nicht notwendigerweise gezeigt werden müssen.
