    Greetz,

    Joseph

  • Hi! Why you do not remove this journeyman.tv title of exaggerate dimensions?

The video would be estimated much better.

  • I love the STUKA sound of the cooling fan of those older Mercedes inline 6!

  • Hitler loved Mercedes cars!

  • @Haffschlappe

    So did Mother Teresa.

  • Mercedes will always be the epitome of class and elegance!

  • fantastic car, fabulous video.

  • I like the rear axle ; )

  • i own a very rare model of this, 1965 230 sl 3 seat automatic in bright red non the less... not US spec either it was imported from germany unfortunatly my dad is always rapped up with work it just sits in the garage. were getting it fixed this week (new oil pan, 2 tires, a headlight, and battery)

  • @jgpwlcs36

even though the automatic makes it that much more rare (valuable) i wish it were manual

  • "Herr Flick" speaking.. :)))

  • quest'uomo è di un "materiale" insopportabile! Se qualcuno trattasse così la mia SL lo ucciderei!

  • That's a fast little car, and the suspension is excellient. It's really good looking, very good ad, i enjoy watching these older car showcases, they don't make them like they used to

  • I have one of these. Inherited from my grandmother. Best car I've ever driven--and yes, I drive the shit out of it!!

  • How much would one of these cost nowadays? Can't be beat.

  • 35.000€ up...

  • Nice car, I would hate to work on the roof thou. I was going to buy one of these years ago for $100.

  • If anyone doesn't know the definition of "over-engineered", you should see this video...while keeping in mind this was launched in 1963 (therefore, it was actually designed in the late 50s - early 60s...)

  • When the people staired at Mercedes it remind me of 1960's White Bentley Coupe.

  • haha

  • first dual climate control. truly an amazing car company.

  • Mercedes Benz!

  • want one so badly!! :(

  • very advansed car for that time :)

  • Wow, so beautiful! Makes me want another Benz!

  • classic!

  • We Germans are simply fantastic.

  • car i had one for 15 years bought as good core car but need restoering did this over 2 years when finished it was as it came from the factory no more no less than is, won loads of shows & events it was very advanced in its day, 40% hand built, most of the uk judges did not know what they were looking at. when new you could by 2 E type jags or eight MGB's £4100 when new plus extras,

most stupid comment i had of a judge was,was it difficult to convert to a diesel, thats britain for u.

  • db5...

  • I did myself the favour to buy a Pagoda a few years ago. This car is stunningly beautiful (it does not really show in the clip) and can be used in today's traffic without any limitations (not a given for a classic car). Feels at ease on the Autobahn at 100 - 110 mph but also in the city. Admittedly a 300SL Roadster has a stronger motor but you cannot drive a car that cost the equivalent of a sumptuous house without strong restraints.

  • Nice surprise to find such a good, long clip of my favorite classic car. The lines of the Pagoda are stunning and always catches peoples eyes - back then and now.

  • i drive a 190E... its the first MB i have owned... the problem with having one is that you are never happy anymore when you get behind the wheel of a car of different make... superb is but the understatement...

  • 16v????

  • Wow! I thought that was a model car on a tiny platform until the man walked up to the car, just looked too perfect.

  • A classic. I wonna own one.

  • Fantastic. A truly great car for its day, and still beautiful today. If I win the lottery...

  • what year is this?

  • 1963

  • It's 2008 ya mad men.

  • What a beautiful car. The Germans were always the great innovators and still are. It was a German who invented the diesel engine.

Sadly MB don't have the same build quality they did till about the early 90's.

  • Sadly...Imola94 I doubt if you drive a Merc, the quality is still exceptionally superb.

  • I very much doubt you know know what I mean when I say build quality as you probably be able to tell the difference between the two.

    fyi I have an S420 W140 shape.

  • a lot of innovation coming out of germany in these days

  • good one. :)

  • nice car

  • i picked one up in stuttgart with my daddy for my mom ;-)

  • Merc is the daddy.

  • I don't care if it is the wifes care. I have got to drive one!

  • LOL @ an amish

  • the 230 sl was known as "the wife's car" in the 1950's because its what rich folk bought for thier wives while they hung on to their 300sl gulwings

  • Great upload.

    Thank you JMP.
