to everybody asking if that was blood. some of it possibly but the majority of that was one or both of the smoke canisters exploding on impaact most likely the one attatched to the leg of the guy who lost his legs.

Liked the video for the accidents it may save in the future BUT...............

I cannot see where there is a place in or out of the services to "go parachuting" and do such an extraordinarily dangerous manoeuvre, just do not get it!

Calling then "experts" leaves a nasty taste on the tongue because, a gust of wind a cough, a sneeze at the wrong time and that leaves room for exactly the same kind of disaster we saw here. Absolutely irresponsible, and not forgivable in any way! Brave? stupid!

No, don't be fooled, its not blood its the color-stuff the smoking can contains. At an impact that heavy, the can broke and set all the color-particles free at once. There is some blood also, but this huge cloud you see is definetely the color of the smokers, which are installed at the shoes of the skydiver.

I watched a tv programme on Discovery Channel about this story. Sergeant whose legs was cut off is still alive and goes on jumping without his legs.The other guy died before landing.Rest in peace.Great Guys...

the chances are huge. its a really reckless thing to do. they said they fly 20 ft away rite when the guys zips by, a foot away. if it were really 20 ft it would still be stupid. from the ground, you wouldn't be able to tell if they were 500 feet apart so i dont see why they needed to be so greedy.
