  • Dublin is a Boaring Morbid place to socialize in.

  • @rottwieler20 i live here btw and stop saying bad things about this buetifulcity and stop trying to give it a bad name

  • wow, no sabía de esa nueva construcción, me encantó tu video y tu explcicaión. tengo 16 años de ir a dublin y vaya que ha cambiado. saudos y gracias.

  • " I remember that summer in Dublin..."

    "Summer In Dublin" by Bagatelle

    Dublin I miss you...

  • It may sound weird, but since I've lived in Dublin all my life, I think I love the city in either November mornings, Summer afternoons or December nights!! Dublin really has a charm.

  • Spike, spire....jayisis lads! Waste of money is what I call it!!! and yeah I'm a Dub.

  • dub for life

  • its a whopper needle

    to show dublins herion problem

  • I'm from dublin all my life until I was in my twenties, then I lived in england, france and spain all my life.

  • Esta chevere el video, gracias por subirlo!

  • Emmm its the "spire" not the "spike" Lmao

  • it is also named Spike, thanks for your comments.

  • I live in Dublin and we call it the Spire. Not the Spike.

  • google "spike Dublin" on images and you will see it for yourself.

  • yes, because people like you call it spike, when we, the IRISH PEOPLE, call it the Spire. I'm the one who sees it every day, alright. Believe me, it's the Spire.

  • I belive you, I changed it, ;)

  • yes you are right gabrielirlanda i am a dub and we call it the spike, as do my friends who arent Dubs but they live there.

  • Im irish & from dublin all my life,

    i call it the spire

  • ok, so you call it the spike, good to know. That was an interesting thing you said ´´im irish & from dublin all my life´´ as opposed to ´´im from dublin since i was 12´´ or what? Your either from Dublin or your not, sorry for picking up on that but i couldn´t help it, sounds so strange.

  • i said its the SPIRE im 100% dub,and irish

I Said im irish and from dublin,

    all my life

meaning im irish live in dublin since the day i was born

Im only 13 so dont expect me to have perfect grammar but it makes sence

  • yes it is commonly known by us locals as the spike , i have never heard a Dub call it otherwise!

  • cheers

  • The Poker Near Croker, The Stiletto In The Ghetto still provokes strong feelings but is it really art or an impressive piece of engineering? Fortunatly, most Dubliners are not as overly opinionated or as intolerant as mynameismaurice.

  • you idiots; with modern art, its not so much about how it looks but what the artist behind it was trying to convey. You want to know what it means? i think it was meant to symbolise the rise and rise of the city in recent years; the way it tapers into a fine point at the top represents the future

  • Mynameismaurice, you are an idiot. Anyone that knows Art, and has study Art knows that art is subjective. What makes art ART is the many ways to describe it. Art History 101. Go to college.

  • O'Connel street mustn't have that busy that day, normally you can't get a space on the footpath to walk down

  • it was winter about 10.00am midweek, that's why. Dublin is very busy on summer times, weekends and uses to be crowed from the afternoon till sunset.

  • Here bloomin here jkgillett, avid fan or all genres of art but the spire sickens me. U know that tax payers money that us irish are always going on about..well there it is...for every junkie and dog to pee on when they feel the need....

maurice u muppet !!! (that was me taking the high road there )

  • why are irish people incapable of appreciating contemporary art? i've lived here in dublin all my life and cringe every time somone disses magnificent pieces of gorgeousness like the spire. i love it.truly a symbol of the new and sexylicious dublin

  • Because they're practical people who aren't pretentious enough to consider a giant metallic toothpic "art". Is that a good enough answer? Can you answer this question: why are pretentious wanks that go around using words like "sexylicious" so upset by people thinking that the "art" they like is pathetic, unimaginative pieces of shit?

  • Maybe it was a waste of money but what the hell wud tourists take pics when in Ireland? have u guys ever noticied that every single city in europe has its own big thing, one of them even starts with big eheh and ends with bang... that's another country.

  • pft big giant ugly spike in the city, what a waste of money, spend it on things more important bertie

  • The Nail In The Pale. The Spire in the Myre. The Erection At the Intersection.

  • the stiffy at de liffy lmao

  • God I am so homesick

  • That bloody spike cost millions a waste of irish tax payers money. shame on you bertie

  • That thing was a waste of tax payers money.

  • TIS DA SPIRE!!!!!!!!

    TIS MA HOME!!!

  • Nice! I miss home :(

  • I like it!
