  • While there is some good information in here, this book/video definitely misses the big picture. If you can't see that eating animal products is pointless and the most unhealthy thing you can eat you are missing the point of healthy eating.

  • How come I eat 5,000 calories a day, sit on my ass, and never gain a pound? I don't have a 'fast metabolism' because I used to be 100 pounds overweight. That's right, I lost weight by eating more food than ever before.

    Check out 'The 80/10/10 Diet' by Doug Graham.

    You won't be sorry.

  • 4. Differentiation between good carbs and bad carbs and learning about good protein and bad protein. Too much to write but it takes research.

    5. Drinks - if you're trying to lose weight cut out all soda drinks. That means soda water too. Soda water impedes your body's ability to process the drink. Soda water has an amazingly high sodium content !

  • From my experience ( I lost 40 lbs in 1 year )

    1. Stay away as much as possible from restaurants and processed food. The food in this video is all frozen food....the WORST ! Even the stuff with lower fat, sodium etc is still high compared to cooking it at home.

    2. HOME COOKING ! you control the oil that's used etc. the best option.

    3. Carbs - for me, i realized I could make the same sandwich with half a slice of bread piling on the protein on half a slice. It's not the same. you get used to it

  • When i was like a small kid (around 9 or 10) I would eat a hungry man meal o.o and like, no joke i would be hungry :O Then i went to the gym and lost 20lb :P now i eat 1/2 cup of cherios and be full.

  • pork bacon better than turkey bacon? I don't think so. These foods are all processed, in a box, or frozen. People need to learn to cook their own natural meals.

  • This is stupid. The " eat this" foods aren't better for you, they just contain less calories. People need to start exercising to loose weight.

  • add one tip: eat rice, not bread

    not saying all breads are bad. there are many good whole grain bread made with all natural ingredients, but many times breads are added with oil and other stuffs people don't really know. on the other hand, when you eat rice, the only ingredient is rice. (of course there are all kind of rice, some are healthier than others)

  • @Chaaarge a lot of ppl are lazy and dont want to do the math for the entire lable because if u have something like bread its only how much stuff ur getting in 1 slice snf u need 2 for a sandwhich

  • Excercise is not even good enough. Sitting can slow your metabolic rate and store fat.

  • you HAVE to exercise. Going to the gym builds muscle. Muscle burns carlories... passive calories burnt! EAT foods with negative calories! (raw anyway) Broccoli, Celery, Apples, etc. etc.

  • My advice for those who are overweight is: stop eating outside or junk frozen food, prepare meals at home, this is the only way to know what ingredients are in. And if you don't like to exercise, eat small portions of food, replace chips for a fruit and do not drink sodas.

    No miracle diets exist, educate yourself about food and set a realistic goal to lose weight slowly but definitive.

    #3 I never said you should eat like a pig, I just said exercise is more important. Eating food gives you calories, if you don't burn them off they become fat. It's a lot better to beable to eat good foods then burn them off by exercising than eating nothing but salads all day.

  • Most people understand that exercise is essential for being healthy; however, I think the point of this information is harm reduction. If you're going to eat crap food, you might as well eat the version that is slightly less disgusting.

  • To lose weight you need to EXERCISE! That's the problem, to many people are LAZY.

  • @cOLnzkiE Yeah but I'm saying you don't need to eat salads or look at food labels the rest of your life. As long as you jog around the block for an hour, play soccer, or even swim in the pool when it's hot (swimming is really good it burns like 1000 calories an hour) you can eat a nice pizza for dinner or have that hot fudge ice cream for dessert...not every day of course. But I'm just saying if your active you shouldn't be so concious about what you eat.
