  • We need more ladybots in this franchise.

Good thing there's Mega Man Unlimited. Comet WOMAN.

  • <3

  • Why was there 2 bubble mans one mm10 the other in some other mm game

  • SPLASH WOMAN

You do realize she's a mermaid robot, right?

  • Her stage is Kitchen

  • I think the first woman robot master should've deserved to be more memorable. It was ok, but not what MM9 is remembered for.

  • @jounihat She was. Granted, she wasn't the only thing that MM9 was remembered for, but...

  • @jounihat isn't it good that a game isn' remembered solely for having a girl? What about the awesome stages, awesome music and awesome weapons. Not to mention the Wilyzilla final boss

  • @Capzjunior

The problem is that Splash Woman's stage wasn't one of the awesome stages. I immediately compared it to Bubble Man from MM2 and it's just sad how average SW's stage, music and the boss herself are in comparison.

  • sonic the hedgehog ruined my good times

    not mega man

mega man is still there for me

  • Splash Woman is the first female Robot Master. She isn't the first female robot. Roll is.

  • All in all I find the music in 9 to have a lot more going on even in some of the blander pieces there is still a good amount of background variation. 10 just seemed too bear. These are so full, so mesmerizing.

  • best song on this megaman

  • She sure did "make a splash" by being in this game.

  • @russbag

    ...really?

  • ok well now we know theres 1 more clasic female robot whos wepon is helpful

  • Capcom making a female robot master was a great idea. Too much "man." Splash Woman is most awesome because of her Laser Trident. I use it a lot :).

  • oh! you mean Splash-woe Man.

  • Uhhh... Gee, I wonder if Splash Woman's Leviathan's Grandma.

  • nah. they're wrong.

take away the classic music, look, and style would be wrong.

  • I thought it was a good idea to have there be a woman, but my friend said it was killing the old-scholl feel. I don't think that at all. What do you guys think?

  • Eh... if they were ever to make a woman character i was a bit disapointed it had to be the game everyone was waiting years for....

  • Yah I guess I get what your saying.

  • Well, it was unexpected. It sorta feels like Capcom made her JUST to please the feminists, as the origional games had bulky male robot masters. Compare to the big, bulky masters; Splash Woman doesn't seem as threatening, perhaps because it would kill the 'girlish' appeal Capcom was going for. I wonder why Wily built a robot with female anatomy... I wonder if he had any secondary uses planned as well... If you understood that, maybe you understand why a female robotmaster could be considered off.

  • A female robot that has a trident that pierces sniper joe's shield

  • It is strange...but then again, Wily did seem to have a thing for being surrounded by men, so it's a change for everyone involved, I feel.

  • Wily didn;'t build the MM9 bots; Light did. Splash Woman was his creation. Maybe he thought Roll needed a sister?:)

  • @lalalei2001

Or megaman. Both, maybe. All the robots creaited by Dr. Light have something to do with the Megaman family.

For one, Roll is Megaman's sister. Still, it must be pretty tough having to destroy your own brothers and sisters for the world's sake. :c

  • Well for starters, Splash Woman was made by Dr. Light, not Wily, which explains a lot. She may have been designed like she was to look less threatening to humans.

  • on mine, when i play as mega man it plays the proto man whistle at the beginning every time of this stage... weird....

  • that's odd, you should only hear ProtoMans' whistle when you play as ProtoMan... that reminds me, I need to buy ProtoMan's mode.

  • Reminds me of it 2!

  • is this slower than the one in the actual game? seems like it, maybe not. this soundtrack is all the way through fucking incredible though, not one bad track

  • i got the game and no this is not slowed down, but the level in my opinion wasnt that hard at first so the music fits in it very well,

  • The world needs more classic gaming. Mega Man 9 should be just the beginning, and game companies need to dish out quality, stuff that appeals the gamers that grew up with this stuff. Not junk...

  • i didnt grow up with this stuff and i still love it!

  • yeah they've gotta stop with all this "halo" shit and make some real games for once

  • Agreed entirely. Fuck guitar hero, fuck Halo, bring on the real games. I've yet to see a truly memorable game for any of the recent systems that didn't look like it's just a copy of hundreds of other games aside from MGS4 and SF4.

  • @mirokyu Dido. I grew up on the N64 and got an Xbox 360. After playing Mega Man 9/10, I went out, bought a NES, fully refurbished it, and started getting games for the old toaster.

  • @mirokyu visit vizzed dot com :D

  • I love how they still use static for the bass.

  • Since, as far as I can tell, they emulate the NES audio very closely (including dropping channels for sound effects during gameplay), it would technically mean the white noise channel (static) is used for the drum beat, and the triangle wave is, in fact, the bass line.

Not that it matters =D. I agree, though, that is is really great!

  • isn't this game old? i don't think that sound is emulated i think it was made just like all the other NES mega man games?!

    i could be wrong

  • awesome

  • Epic.

  • that's why in japan is ROCKMAN it fucking ROCK!

  • honestly, the first thing that popped into my head when i heard the announcement for mega man 9 and saw all the screenshots was "oh no", as in "this game looks awesome, i really hope they get the fucking music right". i was honestly very worried for awhile it wouldn't be up to par, but hearing shit like this makes me so damn happy they didn't fuck it up.

  • Personally, I think this is the least interesting of the eight robot master stages, but it's still worth a listen. She should've gotten Hornet Man's music though.

  • I love this song. It sounds very floaty and ethereal. Definitely a perfect song for the first (and most likely only) Woman robot master in the series.

  • she looks like fairy Leviathan

  • I just shit my drawers. Epic piece of artwork

  • This is one of the songs bouncing around in my head, along with Tornado Man's theme.
